Nyembe had seen what had happened to Vitani and saw his chance to save her and win her heart. "Move away! I'm coming for Vitani!" he shouted.

Alma looked at Nyembe, "No Addana has helped her." Alma said turning from her son.

Nyembe frowned. "No! I must help her and win her over!" he shouted. He then ran over to go and help her.

"She is marrying Mheetu they are in love you can't do anything about that." Alma said sternly looking at Nyembe and then at Mheetu. She looked up and watched the young lioness's climb, she kept watching and stated, "If anything else goes wrong I will scale the highest of this waterfall to help them I don't care if it kills me." Alma said watching each step of each lioness.

"I don't care! I want her!" Nyembe shouted. He then continued to climb.

It was at that very moment when a loud crack of lightening struck the side near Addana and Vitani, causing the rocks to tumble down below. Seeing the dilema the lionesses were facing only enraged the storm more, the rain poured harder as the rocks began to loosen beneath them.

Tempesta jumped a few other rocks and slid down the dirty side her claws scrapping into the earth, it was only then did she not notice the loose rocks. Finding her footing for a moment she pushed off a rocky ledge and felt the rock crumble beneath her weight. The lioness grabbed onto the walls with her claws and her back paws scraped the stone trying to find a small ledge, kicking rocks and debris towards Nyembe. The weight from Tempesta loosened a large boulder and it tumbled down the muddy mountain, the rockslid. "Nyembe, look out!" she yelled and grabbed onto the ledge Vitani and Addana were on. Pulling herself up she looked down at the tumbling rocks, her eyes watching them crash towards him.

"The pile of rock and debris crashed towards Nyembe, sweeping him up into a thick cloud of dust. His body rolled down the wall and landed at the bottom, the rockslide slowly crashing down on top of him. A roar of pain echoing throughout the rocks as Nyembe disappeared underneath the stone."

Seeing the horror flash before his aged grey eyes he looked away and grabbed Alma pulling her out of the way of the falling landslide. "Nyembe..." he choked out between breaths. He felt the rain hit his face and bring him back to reality as the dust settled before them, he ran towards the rocks pulling them away. He let out a roar in pain and heaved a boulder to the side, finding the scruff of Nyembe he sunk his teeth into him pulling him out. He laid his son on the muddy grass and lifted his chin, "Look at me.." he cursed under his breath. He looked away from Nyembe's body and looked up at the lionesses around Vitani, "Get down from there..." he ordered. The thunder boomed around them and Marrone's head hung down to the ground as his grey eyes glazed over at the sight of the young Prince.

Tempesta watched Nyembe fall and get pulled into the landslide, she slid down the mountain after the rocks settled. She looked away as Marrone pulled Nyembe from the rocks; dead. She got dizzy and stepped into the thick mud, she looked to Delano. "Its my fault..." she muttered looking away from the lifeless Prince.

Mheetu limped towards Addana and Vitani, "Tani!" he called out and pulled himself up towards the ledge she lay on. His mossy green eyes flickered as Nyembe was killed, he looked away. Shaking his head the rain had soaked his golden mane, he looked up at Addana and then back towards Delano.

In a flash, Delano dashed towards the pile of rubble that crushed Nyembe. When he saw Nyembe's body, Delano stopped, startled, and frowned. As much as Nyembe was acting bad lately, including his attack on Mheetu, Delano still felt some grief at Nyembe's sudden death. Placing a paw on Nyembe's body, Delano muttered softly, "You weren't supposed to go now. Not like this." He looked back at his surroundings. The others were not nearby, so no one heard him, as he wanted it to be. Looking up, Delano retreated away from the body. He padded over to Tempesta and hugged her, seeing as she was very distressed.

Tempesta shook violently, sobbing into Delano's mane. He gently patted her, trying to calm her down. "It's not your fault, Tempesta," he told her softly, "It was an accident. Nyembe... he was trying to redeem himself. You didn't kill him, you hear me? You didn't do it." Right now, it was important that Tempesta knew that she didn't commit murder. If she believed it, it would be too much for her to handle.

Delano separated himself from her in order to face her directly. "Tempesta, you didn't kill Nyembe. I need you to know that. It was an accident..." Tempesta nodded slowly, but still shook, and so Delano brought her back into a hug. "I'm here for you, no matter what." he told her softly.

Addana slid to the ground, out of breath and with a torn shoulder. Instantly, she checked to make sure Vitani was breathing. "Come on," she murmured. She glanced up, about to say something to Mheetu when she saw the rocks behind him. Her jaw dropped, the thing she was about to say slipped away. "No..." she whispered. She seemed to be saying that a lot lately. She rushed past the lion, leaving Vitani in his care, and skidded to a stop by her father. "Nyembe..." She turned to her father, hysteria in her voice. "Is he dead?" While she had hated Nyemebe as a person, he was still her brother and she wanted him to see the mistakes he had made, not die because of them. Addana didn't wait for him to answer. The blood running out of the prince's mouth said everything. Tears gathered in her eyes and she buried her muzzle in his body, inhaling the last of his fading scent.

Jafar went over to Addana and nuzzled her. "I am sorry for your loss, my love," he said. The death of Nyembe was a shock to him as well. "I will tell his story to our cubs as a lesson of what not to become," he stated.

Addana pulled away, tears running down her cheeks. She loved Jafar but right now she just wanted to be alone with her family.
