"But... But...." Auni shook his head. "Imani... He'll die." He looked at his friend, trying not to think about what could happen to the pitiful lion before him if he was made to live alone.

"He's blind. We'll be able to control him better if he has another... Turn. We can't just turf him out. We can't. And what about Ra? What if she dissagree with you? He's her mate and she does love him, even if he has another evil personality. I know we've already given him a chance but..." He looked at the ground. Even if they didn't pay his ords any attention he could still try.

"Do you hear yourself?" Kioja questioned the male. With her tone flat and her eyes emotionless, she continued, "you're standing up for someone who caused your friend to lose his family, impregnante your friend's sister whom had no say in the matter it sounds like, and go after me because I challenged him when he obviously set this fire and is no doubt destroying homes and lives" she spoke. Kioja took in a breath and started to growl, "you don't even wanna know what he did when I was a cub".

The anger in her was enough to strike Mulfalfa again, but she held her paw. He seperated me from my brother...my mother, father...I was going to have a sister soon..., she cursed in her mind.

Mufalfa nodded to Imani. "I promise to tell Ra everything. Tell my children also how much of a murderer and butcher and liar I was as well." He looked at Auni and said to him, "Please don't defend me. I deserve whatever they want. Kioja forgive him for what he says. Auni just be safe my friend and be happy someday. Kioja is right no one should defend the awful things I have done. I have done something awful to each and every one of you! I also ordered Neru to eat the bodies of Tanga's parents." He turned to Kioja though he kept quiet because he knew that she probably did not want to tell the others of the story.

He fell over not able to see and was looking and walking blindly around all of them. "I promise after I tell Ra that you will not see me again or that I will not bother you anymore."

Tanga was torn. Mufalfa's pitiful, 'good' side had resurfaced once more, leaving him wanting to hold his anger back...but he had already given Mufalfa a chance, and this was the result. A raging fire that was destroying the lands around him, and had almost certainly killed more than a few lives. All of this because of one act of mercy.

As Imani licked his cheek, he looked back down at her, calming slightly as he licked her back. "I love you, too," he whispered, before looking back up, this time directing his attention at Auni. "Auni...I know what you're thinking...I don't want to do this either, but we have no choice. The last time this situation came up, I had the oppourtunity to kill him, to get revenge on the death of my parents. I refused, because petty revenge would not have solved anything. But this is different, Auni...Mufalfa has put all of our lives in danger, along with the lives of countless other, all on a sadistic whim. If we spare him again, even in his good side, what is going to happen when his evil side surfaces again? Next time one of us could die! We cannot take that risk any more, Auni...please try and understand that."

Tanga then turned back to Imani, also looking at Kioja. "You're doing the right thing...both of you. I hate to willingly cast aside a fellow lion, but he's become too dangerous."

Finally, he looked over at Mufalfa, who was stumbling around pitifully in his blindness. "Can you see my reasoning, Mufalfa. I hate to do this to you when you've come around again...but the risk to all our safety is far too great. I'm sorry...but we have no choice."

Auni sighed deeply, but nodded. "I understand. I realise that it's too big a risk to keep him here. Kioja, I'm not aware of what his other personality has done to you, but if I've offended you in any way by defending him, I'm sorry."

Mufalfa at least understood it was all for the best and at least his and Ra's cubs would be unaffected by their father's crimes. He would not wish that on them.

Kioja looked away from Auni and over to the pitiful Mulfalfa. "He's offending enough" she commented coldly, looking over to Tanga. Something about him, the way he looked just now, was somehow...familiar. Something about his eyes and the colors of him...reminded her of something. Of what, she had no clue. Before it made it look like there was something about her with Tanga, she pulled her head away and looked back at Auni with a warning look. She was crossed enough, and thus she walked over to the other side of the water where the other animals ran away from her while she lay her body down, her back to the pride.

Imani looked at Kioja, wondering what had happened to her with Mulfalfa that could make her seem to hate him so much. Though the lioness couldn't understand what had happened, she knew there was something about Mulfalfa that anyone could hate. Clearing her mind of the thoughts and questions, she put her head in Tanga's mane and sighed out. "I just want all of this to be over..." she whispered tiredly.

"Ra!" Kamau called out, dodging flames as much as he could but it was growing increasingly hard since they were spreading quickly and growing taller and more furious. He was quite pleased with the fact that his mate and children weren't here or he would be more worried about the fire than he was knowing his sister was no where to be found. And he knew that if Imani heard anything about her twin sister not being found or worse, she would probably skin her brother. That just drove Kamau to search further.

Auni fought back tears after Kioja gave him a filthy look and stalked off. He felt very stuppid now. Of course they couldn't spare Mufalfa. He was too much of a risk and could very probably succeed in killing at least one of them if his other personality overcame him again. He was very sorry for Mufalfa (for he staunchly called his good personality 'Mufalfa' and his bad personality 'Other Mufalfa') and he thought that he would've made a great dad. But his crimes were too great. He had used up his chances. They had no more options.

"The fires appear to be dying now." He said to break the silence. Maybe we should go and see what's left of our territory."

Imani studied Auni while she lay her head in her mate's mane and watched his eyes droop and his posture drip down. From him he looked to the relaxing form of Kioja and relieved Tanga of her touch so she went over to Auni. "Fair hearts never won fair lady" she whispered to him while wrapping her paws around his shoulders while supporting herself on her back legs while she held him with her front. Taking a few moments to try and make him feel better, she let him go finally and walked over to Kioja who didn't even perk her head up. "How are you feeling?" Imani attempted to make conversation with the mysterious female. Kioja only then perked her head up and looked at Imani at her side, then let her eyes wander down to her paws.

Imani walked over to her more and sat down beside the younger but larger female. "You know, Auni is a really sensitive guy--"

"I'm aware". Imani perked her ears and smiled.

"Oh, so you pay attention to him then?"

Kioja was silent for a while, "I do with everyone".

Young Imani shook her head and sighed out, "he just wants you to be his friend is all. And he doesn't quite know if you like him that much" she admitted to the lioness. Thus, Kioja interest seemed to be peaked and she looked up at the leader lioness of the pride who had a smile plaster across her face like usual.

"I just met him".

"And?"

Good point. Imani was considered her friend, wasn't she? ...she thought. And thought. And thought, until finally Kioja snorted to herself and turned her head away. Imani sighed once more and looked down at Kioja, "I have a feeling if you let him in a little...you'd be surprised". She left with that note to the female and walked back over to Tanga, whom she smiled at and looked at Auni once more.

Tanga smiled back at Imani as she returned to his side. He wondered what she had talked to Kioja about, but held his tongue...he had lesson about prying into Imani's life too much, and was determined to never do it again. Having her beside him again reminded him of just how bad it had felt when she was angry and avoiding him.

Looking around, Tanga noticed that Auni was right, and that the fires, with little fuel left to sustain them, were slowly burning themselves out. Thinking on Auni's suggestion, Tanga gave him a sad look. "Auni...I want to go look, too...but I don't think we're going to like what we'll see." Even without wandering through their territory, he could already visualise the destruction that the fire had left behind. He seriously doubted they would be able to stay here.

Tanga then looked at Imani as he continued. "But if you all want to go, then we will. I guess we need to know what's left behind."

Auni smiled gratefully at Imani. She always knew how to cheer him up. Her embrace was very comforting and he thanked her, before she went to talk to Kioja. Good things, he hoped were being said about him.

Judging by Imani's massive smile aimed at him he suspected gis hopes were correct. He smiled gratefully back then adressed Tanga.

"I know it will probably be devastating to see our home in such... But we'll have to look at it sometime. And at least we'll know if we have to find somewhere else to sleep tonight."
