The Pride Lands (Zeke, NM, kovu42, morri908)

[Zeke]

Zeke waited a little bit out of courtesy but soon joined Mila, keeping his distance and letting her take what she wanted. The kill was still fresh and somewhat warm and felt good as he steadily devoured the meal before him.

Mila began to notice that Zeke started eating. In an attempt to be polite, she stopped and let him continue. She was full anyways. She figured it would be best to stretch out her muscles for a bit, and decided that the best thing she could do would be to go for a walk. As she rose, she noticed a miniscule figure of a lion/lioness in the distance. She could not tell which. Mila turned around and noticed Tai sitting quite a bit off from her, and concluded that the animal in the distance couldn't be him. She was a curious lioness, and because of this, she had to point it out. "Zeke, Tai. Look. Over there." She pointed towards the figure. She then continued with "What is THAT?" She held a confused look on her muzzle, unsure of why anyone ELSE would be here. Mila reminded herself that she had found Tai out here as well, so she didn't jump to conclusions. Wonder if I should go say hi? Mila thought as she looked at Zeke to listen to any comments he or Tai may have.

Tai turned around and looked a Mila. He then walked over to Mila and Zeke, and looked off into the distance. He didn't know what to do, but he had a strange feeling that they should go greet this figure. He looked at Zeke, then at Mila, and said, "Should we wait here, or go greet whoever it is?"

[Zeke]

Zeke walked up to Tai, now not an enemy, but still not a friend. "Let's go say hi," He mumbled in a very monotone voice, his bright green eyes staring into the distance at the figure. Zeke started off at a slow trot toward it, his legs brushing up upon the low grass through which he strode.

Mila was a bit surprised at Zeke's actions. He usually wasn't like that, but she wasn't going to complain about it. He might be still in a bit of shock from what just happened a few minutes ago, or he took my advice on not assuming everyone is bad. I guess I'll just wait and see which. she wondered. Mila just nodded and began to walk alongside Zeke, to approach this creature.

Nanati was just trying to go anywhere, away from that horrible scene that she still hadn't accepted happened. She had lost basically everything she had. Her soon to be mate, her family, her pride. Now she was all alone, and a great state of depression was upon her. She was wandering through anything at this point, not caring who lived there, or what they might do to her if she was in a pride's lands and wasn't supposed to be. As she cleared her thoughts, she looked towards her left to see 3 figures in the distance approaching her. She could not make up what these were, but from her distance, they looked like lions. Lions, panthers, cheetahs, who cares? They aren't approaching me for any friendly reason. Does it matter what happens to me? I have nothing to live for anymore. Her depression was in a very serious state, and her desires did not involve living. She welcomed death if it were to come knocking. She didn't really want to find out what these were, so she laid down and put her paws over her head, and looked to the right, so that the only part of her body the 3 figures could see would be her back. She didn't want to see death coming.If it was going to happen, she wanted it to happen unexpectedly.

Tai was shocked at Zeke's statement, from what he had seen, Zeke didn't usually accept strangers. He turned and followed Tai, as they got closer, he could see that it was a lioness, but the lioness didn't want to see them, she covered her face with her paws. He couldn't see who it was, all he could see was that she thought they were enemies. I know her, I can feel it. As he got closer he knew who it was, he started running, he couldn't believe his eyes. It was Nanati, at least he thought it was. He yelled, "NANATI!"

Nanati stood up. She knew that voice. ""Tai?" She whispered, without looking behind her. It might be my mind playing tricks on me.. she thought. She hadn't seen him since they said goodbye before the battle had begun, so it could have been a possibility. Without trying to get her hopes up, she rose from the ground, and turned around slowly, afraid of what she might see. When she made a complete 180,she looked up at the lion that was rapidly approaching her. "Tai?" She said, louder then she did before. Indeed, it was Taisaku. The lion that she had called her love before, was there, about to tackle her. Her face lit up with excitement as she was toppled over playfully. She looked up at Tai, unsure if it was a dream, or reality. "Tai.. is it really you?" She asked, smiling intently.

Mila was a bit confused as Tai said a name and ran for the figure she could now make out as a lioness. She whispered to Zeke as Tai ran. "He probably knows her." She didn't know what their relationship was, but by the tone of Tai's voice, he was exploding with happiness about seeing her again.

Tai nuzzled Nanati and said, "Yes, it's really me. I've missed you so much." Tai then kissed Nanati, he never wanted to leave her again. "I thought you were dead."

Nanati began to let tears fall from her eyes after Tai kissed her. She had believed that he was dead. The overcoming joy that she felt at this moment was incredible. She never knew she could feel so overjoyed and relieved... without a second thought, she kissed Tai back. After she broke away, she huddled in his mane. No words needed to be said by her to tell Tai what she felt.

After a minute or so, the other two had caught up. Nanati saw a lioness, and a lion. "Who are they?" She whispered to Tai.

Tai got off of Nanati, then he looked back at Zeke and Mila. He said," These two are Zeke and Mila. If it wasn't for Mila, I probably wouldn't be here, she kinda saved my life. " He then nuzzled Nanati and said, "Zeke, Mila, this is my mate, Nanati."
