Kovu sighed. "The cubs were up in the middle of the night wanting to be fed, but other than that, it was great. I can't believe I already have heirs to the throne," he said. Just then, Zazu flew in. "Good morning, sire. Are you ready for the morning report?" the hornbill asked.

Haij watched the four, laughing lightly.

Zazu began to give the morning report. However, Kovu was only partially listening.

He looked over at Kovu, perking a brow. "Is something else on your mind, Your Majesty?"

Kovu shook his head. "No. I don't have a care in the world right now," he said proudly, still waiting for Zazu to shut up.

"But what if something important pops up," he recommends.

Kovu nodded. "Then I will deal with it," he said. Finally, Zazu stopped. "You know, I have been doing this for years now. I think it is time that I retired," he said.

The adult perked a brow. "True, Zazu. After working with Mufasa, Scar, Simba, and now Kovu, I bet you're tried from ranting on and on.." He thought for a little. "Maybe I should take his place."

Zazu nodded. "Perhaps, but we should let his majesty make the choice. It is his kingdom after all," Kovu looked at Haij. "Very well, Haij. You will be my majordomo," he said. He then looked at Hakara. "As for you, you will be my other adviser," he said. Hakara nodded. "I am honored," he said.
