Kovu was surprised, he was sure Nala already knew what he was talking about. He didn't know what to say as he gave Kiara a 'she doesn't know' look

Kovu took a deep breath, knowing he was going to tell Nala one of the hardest thing she had ever heard. "Kiara and I..." he paused and breathed again, "we heard Jata and Simba talk and... I think they're in love."

Nala took a small step back in surprise but quickly regained herself. "Oh is that all?" she said, "that makes what I'm about to do so much easier." She went up to Kovu and pinned him and brushed her nose up against his. "I was going to leave anyway," she whispered, "I would like you to join me."

Kovu was shocked as he asked himself how did he end up in a situation like this. Seeing that Kiara hadn't noticed it he knew he was alone in that. "So you're just running away from this situation?" Kovu asked trying to convince Nala to stay
