Tempesta joined Delano's side she nudged him under the chin, "Delano, you know the rules." she whispered softly. When they got back into the den she noticed Mheetu still chatting with Vitani. "I wonder what they are talking about..." she added with a smirk.


Marrone nodded at Delano as he walked back into the gathering den, "Come Addana and Alma, lets go back." he said bringing up the rear as they made it to the dry place. "Well, since I realized most of you were cubs last time I was crowned I don't believe you know the rules to the 'Morning flower'." he stated. " Tomorrow is the final day of our rainy season, which lets the flower have its complete time to fully bloom. Tomorrow night, Addana and Tempesta will climb the ledges and retrieve two flowers, one for Jafar and one for Mheetu. The reason we have the female do it is to prove their courage and strength in a time of great confusion. It will be dangerous..." he added with a sigh. "But I don't question Tempestas or Addana's ability in retrieving the flower, I know they can do it. Now after the flower is picked, we began the ceremonies. Tomorrow night will be a happy day for us all.."

Addana nodded, her gaze solemn. "I will not fail, Father." Her eyes flickered to Jafar, hoping he had nothing to say on the matter.

Alma nodded and walked into the den. "Yeah it will." Alma said agreeing with Marrone.

Delano walked into their den and lay down, feeling ashamed of his failure. He noticed Tempesta walk into the den after him. "I just wanted to help," he told her. "I'm sorry for the confusion, but I felt... I feel like I needed to do this for Mheetu." He told her. "I needed to do this for him, because... I don't want to suffer through my inaction anymore. He doesn't deserve it."

Delano rubbed his head on Tempesta's. "Be careful tomorrow." he told her. "I don't want you to get hurt just for the sake of tradition."

Vitani interrupted Mheetu. "Mheetu, I love you." She said quickly over his words. Under her fur, her cheeks were bright red. She had wanted to say this for a while now. Finally, she had.

Mheetu's mossy colored eyes blinked blankly a few times, "W..what...well..I love you too." he muttered. He smiled at Vitani and he nuzzled her neck softly before pulling away. He nodded to Vitani and limped over to Marrone, "King Marrone, I'd like to to put Vitani also tomorrow in the climb for the morning flower." he said with a slight smirk.

Marrone looked to Addana and nuzzled her. "You will bring me great honor tomorrow. My little princess.." he said looking down at his daughter. His ears twitched when he heard Mheetu's words and his grey eyes looked to the Pride lander. " Who is Vitani going to be getting the flower for...you?" he asked curiously eyeing Mheetu. Marrone grew very fond of Mheetu and he noted the closeness of him and Vitani over the past days and he nodded. "Very well, Vitani will be retrieving the flower for her and Mheetu tomorrow as well." he said. He heard the whispers of chatter among the Pride and he let out a soft growl. "The Princess Vitani can marry whomever she pleases. Vitani, do you choose Mheetu..?" he said looking towards her.


Tempesta rubbed her head against Delano's and she smiled at him, "Ill be careful my love." she whispered licking his cheek. Hearing Delano's words she frowned, "You saved his life, I don't think he needs you to get his flower. Plus, Princess Vitani will be getting the flower along with me and Addana." she added.

Alma smiled hearing Mheetu, "I'm so happy for you two." Alma stated then looked at the couples of the pride, "Love is in the air." Alma said before chuckling.

When Tempesta said that Vitani would also be retrieving a flower, his ears perked up. "Wait... Vitani's getting married?" he asked, trying to figure out what that meant. "But to whom?... It's Mheetu, is't it?" He concluded, looking at Tempesta. He took in a deep breath. "Wow, this year is certainly... eventful."
