@Nakisisa: Adeola looked up at her mate and smiled lovingly into his ruby hues, placing her head into his thick mane, enjoying the feel of someone like Naki near to her. She was hoping in the back of her mind, and praying that this time...things would work out for her. Because this time...things were just the way she wanted them.

A thought popped into her head and she looked up at him, "don't you have something to say about saying how I was 'useless'?" She rose her brow and gave him a warning look like he had better say something to save his butt.

@VitanisMate: "Ekwu, when you grow up, you will find that love makes you do some crazy things. Why your mother fell in love with him in the first place and stay with him until her passing. Same with love for me and how I took her in need. It's a lot of stuff you will understand when you're older". She let her paw slowly slide across the grass by her daughter's burial and she bowed her head to stop the tears coming out from fond memories.

@SnowyCheetah: Tendai looked from Zuri to Grunge, "yes, you're on my land and you've gotta go" he said, storming down before Adeola got in his line of vision, blocking his way to Grunge.

"Cool it, father. Back up" she ordered. There was a moment of silence between the two until finally he backed up and walked over to his mate to be cleaned, which he was happy to have. Adeola nodded her head and looked back to him, "sorry about that" she walked away.

Grunge looked around nervously, unsure of exactly what was going on. He was comforted, though, by the fact that Tendai was the only one who seemed to be against him. What convinces you that I've got to go? Am I causing trouble, or stealing, or harming anyone? Grunge said, trying to keep a respectful tone in his voice.

"But grandma who were those lions back there!" He saw her turn and let himself think of love. For the first time in his life he thought everything was going right. He saw Marjani's face in his head and did a loving sigh. "Marjani" he whispered savoring the name. He then stopped. Ah what am I doing? Girls are yucky anyway. He came over by Adeola and hugged her. "At least I still have you grandmother." He smiled. He showed her his appreciation of her taking him in as her own.

@SnowyCheetah: "Offending dad, obviously" Afolabi cut through the silence, getting a smack over the head from Neobi. He was always the one who was trying to keep his older brother in line, but it never really worked out like he planned.

Tendai looked from Neobi and Afolabi to Grunge and gave a hard look, "my daughter".

Adeola turned her head to him, "excuse me? Since when do you speak for me?" She asked aloud, sounding upset with his words. How dare he assume all on his own how she was feeling towards something or someone like Grunge.

"Adeola, don't start anything in front of Grunge" Malaika said, looking over at Grunge with a smile. Adeola looked over to her little sister and then back at her father, still not pleased with his words.

@VitanisMate: "It doesn't matter anymore" she told him. She looked down at him when she heard the mention of the Nemu's cub's name and she took a hard look at the ground. Her mother seemed...different. Different in the bad sense...? Best not make any judgments, Adeola, the lioness thought.

When she felt the cub on her leg, she wrapped her other paw around his back and smiled, "and you always will" she replied. With the luck of her not being old in the least, she was going to be around for a long time and would be able to look after him for a long while.

The mother Nemu looked out over the Pridelands and at her daughter. I promised a better life for you and I will keep that promise. That cub who is destined to be the leader of these lions will fall in love with you. And with that not only will you have the best life imaginable I will have the honor of being mother of the mate.

Marjani sighed and looked out there. She was ready for someone to like her for who she really was. Ekwu seemed that person. Wait a minute. Boys are icky! She then would show her skill to the Adeola lioness tomorrow and then be a mighty hunter one day.

Sensing the disagreement, Grunge's look at Tendai turned unhappy rather than just neutral. Tendai was overstepping his fatherly bounds, it seemed, and Grunge feared he might have to intervene. What about her? he asked Tendai.

"I didn't say anything of the sort" Naki said sweetly. Looking back up at her, and into her sweet eyes, his heart melted. "Ohh, Ad" he said sweetly, using his tale to play with hers. However he still felt a stab of pain in his leg. He growled softly as he said, "Err Ad, do you mind, you know, err, getting off me?" Looking down at his leg for emphesis, however he did compliment this statement by giving her a quick kiss.

@Nakisisa: "Whu?" She questioned, then she looked him over and realized she was over top of him and he was still injured. "Oh!" She exclaimed, backing off from the lion and smiling awkwardly, "sorry". Of course, how could she be so reckless with an injured male. Naki was tough, she knew it, but he wasn't tough enough to hide the pain of a gunshot wound. No lion or lioness was, she knew.

She was about to sit down until she thought of what to say, "then you should get into the den" she ordered him. She was going to walk over to him and push him in, but she thought better of it and decided to let him do what he needed.

"Uh, he's doing nothing of the sort" Adeola replied to her father's harsh statement. Anymore, at least. He was being annoying and she was feeling the need to smack the gold right off him.

"Tendai, calm yourself. Please" Zuri finally cut in with her soft, smooth voice. Her mother always remained calm and cool in any situation and she never ceased to amaze everyone who met Tendai and she could easily make him do anything it seemed.

@VitanisMate: Morning sun was blessing the Pridelands in the summer time, and Adeola was already up. She wasn't going to wake up the cub or the rest of her family just yet, as she was finally going to have some time to herself at least for a little while. The gold lionesses coat was even more brighter than it was with the aid of the sun, and she padded towards the waterhole. She let her tail drag along the ground as she walked, and stopped at the water, taking a long, cool drink.

The waterhole was a relief after the long hot days Africa was offering them nowadays.

Grunge was quite annoyed at that statement. How did it even appear that he was bothering Adeola? He was beginning to get a little mad at Tendai himself, but held his tongue and looked once at Adeola, as if asking where this was going, or where she expected to get with her stubborn father.
