[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Kopa squirmed, trying to move closer to his father, his red-brown eyes scanning the unfamiliar world around him.

It was now time for the presentation ceremony to begin. Rafiki decided that he would present Kopa first. He then began the ceremony by painting a stripe of juice on the newborn's forehead.

Kopa squealed as the warm liquid was placed on his forehead. He blinked at Rafiki, caming down udner his steady gaze and closed his eyes, enjoying the warm sunshine on his golden pelt.

Rafiki gently picked up the cub and headed for the edge. Once there, he held Kopa up for all the animals to see.

The cool wind caressed his soft fur as he was held up for the kingdom to see. He stared out at his future subjects in the way only a cub could, as they bent to one knee and bowed to him. He squinted as the sun shined on him and squirmed, wanting to be let down.

After presenting Kopa, Rafiki next prepared Kiara. After rubbing the juice stripe on her forehead, he held her up for the animals to view.

"I... I am Zira. Along with my cub. We are alone," she said, still cautious.

Kiara squirmed in Rafiki's arms, the loud animals upset her and she started to mew and cry. Her body wanted back to her mother. To be warm with food again.

Seeing this, Rafiki quickly returned Kiara to her parents. He then prepared Chaka and held him up for the animals to see.

Nala watched the presentation smiling beside Simba. She grabbed Kiara in her mouth and stepped back into the den while ushering her mother to grab Chaka. Nala laid to the cold ground and rested a moment before setting Kiara by her belly to suckle. Nala stuided her three cubs as they feasted away and she yawned exhausted. She nuzzled them and looked to Simba, "What do you think?" she asked with a smile. "They are gona be trouble.." she laughed.

Sarafina reclined and watched the cubs and Nala, a smile across her face. "Yes, they will be a handful. But i'm here and so is Sarabi for babysitting." she added.

Mheetu watched the presentaion end and he looked to Vitani, "Yes, tomorrow we do. So be ready to make good timeing." he added before heading back out to the Pride lands. He planned on taking one more walk around and lounge under his favorite tree until the stars came out, he had things to think about.

"Zira..ehh...Well I'm Mostro." he spoke back towards her. The lion's muscles relaxed a bit realizing this lioness was alone his mustard eyes did one more search for other life. "Your alone..? Why?" he asked curious.
