Re: [OPEN] Prideland's Hope

Mlezi just shrugged her shoulders, "Yes, I do… believe I'm in love, with Kion." She admitted, as there was no point in her hiding it from them. She added shyly, "But, I am aware of the… possible issues given my father's relationship with Simba….."

She shook her head to continue on the path, "Mother's always told me that love is love, no matter who it's with. Be it cousin, sibling or half-sibling..."

"And what's special about Kion? He's just a normal cub...with super powers." Ayo started to feel around the rough edges of the rock. "Wait, if you love Kion, does it mean you are committing incest? I think Simba would kill you for that."

"I… can't control who it is I do love through true love, but as I am aware of the slight problems I might be able to find someone else" The lipard giggled a bit, grinning "Although, according to Simba then Scar's no longer part of his family; his uncle. Just another "Lion" with that name. I know that's not true though."

Mlezi looked around at the rock formations, looking for any signs others may have missed in the rock near the lair entrance.

"Simba is just devasted. Luckily for you, you aren't part of my clan. You would have been exiled for being half-breed, along with your parents. Like my Aunts. Idir's father managed to bring them back, however. But only after the previous Emperor is dead. Ah, we are nearly here. The lion guard lair!" Ayo said, pushing a mid section rock, with the cave entrance opening with a creak.

"..."Kion sighed as he helped to remove the vines covering the lair. "I hope you know what you are doing. I have a bad feeling about this."

"Don't really blame him" Mlezi just nodded at what else the cub said.

Mlezi looked behind her as Kion sighed, "Well, no turning back now." She cautiously padded into the lair, taking in the paintings. Even the faded ones. "…Hmm.."

"They are all dead now. Now whatever Idir says, goes. But enough of that." Ayo signalled everyone towards the end of the cave, and opened another secret entrance. "The current king is supposed to have told you of the hidden war but he wasn't paying attention in class."

The beige cub pointed to several figures in the background and mostly notably Scar & the previous lion guard.

"We are back to the beginning of the Pride Lands War. It was a time where was much chaos in Africa and Ahadi, the father of both Mufasa and Scar, prepared this land against the invaders. The invaders were highly trained in war, and much of the surrounding lands had already fallen. He decided to train his sons for the inevitable... and Scar was powerful with the roar. This helped to turn the tide of the war in the pridelanders's favor. He was young, talented and full of promise."

Ayo pointed to another section where several lion guard members were celebrating but in another corner where a few lions were bitter.
"The warlord, Idir's grandfather was furious at his defeat. He had his dreams crushed by some ancient force. He lost his young mate, as well as his father, as they were killed by Scar's roar. To punish Scar, and possibly Mufasa, he created a special force to sneak in to the pride lands to not to kill Scar, but take away everything he loves (and to drive him to madness & evil). The shadow council. Whether it happened or not is highly debatable."

"Would you happen to know if any of the Shadow Council lions had a certain mark on their right shoulders?" Mlezi questioned curiously, looking at the paintings Ayo was pointing to, before turning her attention back to the main wall. Scar and his guard. She paced a little, wondering how to start her story.
Still she had some strange feeling that there was something… more here, in this lair. "I think… there is actually more here. More to this lair, and the story behind this…" She gestured in the general direction of the current paintings, before stepping to the right side of the main wall looking for something...

"I do not know. It was never mentioned." Ayo said, shaking her head. "Afterwards, as we know, Idir's mum Kula married Akachi, the Emperor's descendant and he sent some lioness to aid Nala in her quest to restore Simba and there is much peace to the pridelands. Ever since, there had never been an attack on the pridelands ever again. Of course this only meant the pride lands was really none of our business now."

"Why does everyone find something in the lair? The next time, Mufasa will pop out of nowhere." Kion, said in an annoying tone. "It was meant to be secret! All of it!"
"Thank you, Simba. But you probably would never see my mother again." Idir just gave a nod at Ayo as she truly started to leave Kion alone. She propped him against the rock up so that he could see his father.
"Why? What happened to her?" Simba asked with a worried face.
"Dad..? My head still hurts." Kion mumbled as he looked around for the rest of the Guard. He was exhuasted from the earlier fight. It was something he wasn't being used to. "Where are my friends?"
"Don't worry, son." He began and went to Kion to help him up. "After this, I am gonna send Zazu to take Rafiki here and he will help you."
Mlezi glared at the king, "Oh? How's that fair, you letting them stay but not me! Some king..."
She then decided to ignore him, instead turning her attention to Nala and the rest. "Mlezi, I'm a lipard. But, I'm an orphan. You guys truly are the only family I have left. The "King" here won't let me stay, due to who my father was."
"Because they belong to my friend's pride. As for you, you..." He started but couldn't finish the sentence as Mlezi began to introduce herself to Nala.
"I will have to discuss with Simba first. We normally do not allow others to settle on this land unless we know them really well. You must understand that they are allowed to stay because they are my best friends' children. You are different from them. For now, you could stay. But doesn't mean you will not be kicked out anytime soon." Nala said. "I already lost a friend. I do not wish to dwell on another bad incident."
"But Nala-!" Simba tried to interrupt. Yeah, he definitely wanted to discuss it with Nala.
"I'm unsure if it's a good idea. What if she brought another plague to pridelands?" Tama folded her paws. "Simba! Did you forget how we fought against that manic?!"
"Who could forget that?"

"Nala." He turned to her when Kion, Mlezi, Idir and Ayo walked away - he didn't know where, but he would check them later. His voice sounded serious.
"Nala, this cub is Scar's daughter! And besides that, she is against the nature's laws. She is a lipard! This is against the nature, as lions and leopards are different species. I just.... I can't... I am not going to be calm if she stays here..."

Tama went over to Simba, shaking her head as the group went towards the lion guard caves. She paused slowly and in between tears, choking on her words. She wondered why did Kion did not stop them but let them into the secret lair.

"Kula, along with most of her family members were all murdered and her entire pride was destroyed. Wait, actually alot of them, but not all. The empire collapsed, and now that land is covered in a blood bath. But most importantly, your son is letting that weirdo in. I do not know what to say!"

"Thanks dad, I gotta show Mlezi the way. Mum wants me to." Kion gave a one liner response as he followed his group.

Nala put a paw on Simba's. She wiped her tears away before beginning her answer.

"I know this goes against our nature and the way of life. But I can't help worrying that this might be a sign of worst things to come. Why would your father lead Mlezi here? There could be some deeper secret we do not know. There is something fishy going on, Simba. Therefore, we must see how the situation develop. We have to watch for her, even through she is our enemy's child. But we do not take this kindness for weakness. If she does something truly evil, then cast her out by all means."
