Simba was thoroughly curious now. "What do you mean? How is she sort of my cousin if Scar was her father?" he asked.

"Scar was technically her father because I never married another lion, but also not because I broke up with him before I was even pregnant with her." Sarafina tried to explain. "It's kind of a hard concept to explain."

Simba looked at her. "So, who actually sired her?" he asked.

[Queen Elsa]

"Sired? What do you mean?" Sarafina asked, confused.

Simba looked down, slightly embarrassed. "Uh, who was the lion you were with...if you get my meaning," he said.

[Queen Elsa]

"Oh! He was a rogue named Shamim. I found him while hunting one day. He seemed like a good father, and he helped me give birth to Nala. I had been expecting her for a few days, but not while I was out hunting. I returned to Pride Rock that day, but kept visiting him everyday around the same time, until one day I discovered he was killed by hyenas." Sarafina replied, sad. "That day I found him dead was the day I was actually going to ask him to be my mate. I never got the chance, but I still count him as one of Nala's other fathers, which is why she's sort of your cousin."

Simba nodded. "Well, that explains why Nala looks nothing like Scar," he said. He then looked back towards Pride Rock. "Do you want to walk some more and then head home?" he asked.

[Queen Elsa]

Sarafina smiled, glad that she had cleared up the whole relative thing. She looked around. "Yeah, I think so. I'd also like a drink from the waterhole. I'm thirsty."

Simba gestured towards the waterhole. "Go ahead, but watch out for crocodiles," he said.

[Queen Elsa]

Sarafina nodded, then walked over to it. She took a few laps, relaxing her mind. Simba's question about Nala's fathers made her use her memory so much it hurt, but now she was relaxing. After a few minutes, she walked back over to Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon. "Let's go back home now. I'm sure Nala will be waiting for us to get back."
