Muroki smirked, "Excellent." he said as they both ran slightly faster. Soon enough they were about to catch up with the others.

Delano saw that they were catching up to the others. "I thought that they would've finished already," he commented. But seeing as they were not, Delano and Muroki ran even faster, ignoring the pain of running. Even with a long delay in starting, they will finish on time.

Muroki shrugged, "Oh well." he was not allowing himself to end up last from now on. Maybe even try to be first if he felt like that was necessary, but definitely not last.

Delano ignored his aching muscles and ran on. He wanted to overtake some of those who were 'better' than him. Next to him, Muroki was also able to keep up.

Muroki ran alongside his brother, eventually they began passing some of the other trainees.

Delano grinned when they were no longer last. Although there was still a long gap between them and the first runner, they had finally gotten to inside the group.

But before they can catch up to anyone else, the run ended. Delano and Muroki stopped, with Delano grinning. "We did it! No longer last!" He said in between gasps of air. "Might even prove to the trainer that we can stay."

Muroki stopped with a satisfied grin, this time not sitting down despite the fact he was tired. "Oh we will prove. This is just the start." if they had began running at the same time as the others did, they would have easily ended up coming in first.

Still smiling, they headed down to the area where they sleep. "What do you think tomorrow's going to be like?" Delano asked.

Muroki lay down next to his cousin and shrugged, "I dunno." no matter what it was going to be like, he was going to give it his best shot.
