The new danger in the land

Tua went down the waterhole and just walked in, got wet and got out then shook dry. He then turned around to the water to look at his reflection.
Tua: What if............what if the second litter.......was a mistake? Did....did I just take advantage of Marini? ...She didn't even want cubs until I asked for them.....begged for them! Were.................were the boys a mistake?

After she finished cleaning Nuru and Mufasa, Marini also went to sleep.

Tua couldn't get these stupid thoughts out of his head. They just kept coming. Eventually he feel over, asleep. His forehead dipping slightly into the water

The next morning Nuru woke up and noticed his father was missing.
Nuru: ...Da-...Daddy? .....Daddy!? Mom! Mom!! MOM!!!! Wake up!!! Dad's gone!!

Marini shook her head a little as she was woken up early in the morning by Nuru. Looking around, she saw that Tua really was gone. Has he not come back yesterday? Maybe he'd just gone hunting early for her. However, seeing how worried her cub was, she figured it would be for the better to find his father as soon as possible. "Calm down, Nuru." she said standing up. "Let's go find him."

Nuru stood up and followed his mother. When they got outside, off in the distance, by the waterhole, he could see his fathers red mane

Marini also easily identified Tua in the distance. "There he is." It looked like he was having a drink. She gave her cub a comforting nuzzle.

Nuru: But....why is he laying down on his side to drink?!??

Marimi squinted her eyes and tried to focus. He was really far away, but it really did look like Tua was lying on his side. "Come on, let's go have a look."
