Jafar smiled. "Nyembe is a criminal, and he will get what's coming to him. I doubt your father will let him have the throne now, and that means you'll be queen one day," he said. He smiled. "I am in full support of you," he said.

When Tempesta went next to Delano, her presence calmed him down. She left quickly, in order to help Mheetu. Delano remained alone in the den, thinking. Now, his harsh breathing had slowed to a more regular pace, and his mind cleared. He knew what he had to do.

Delano got shakily to his feet. He wiped his tears away and left the den. Delano went over to where he had dropped Mheetu off. The lion was still there, along with Vitani. A crack of thunder made Delano look up, impending of a storm coming. Mheetu would have to be taken inside quickly before the weather gets bad. Delano walked over to Mheetu and Vitani and gently got Mheetu on his back with Vitani's help. The three of them proceeded to the gathering den, where Delano placed Mheetu gently on the ground, and left again, leaving Vitani and Mheetu behind.

Now, Delano searched for Tempesta. While she was a much better tracker than him, he found her scent easily enough and followed it until he found her. She looked up when she heard him approaching her. He just smiled at her. He didn't need to use words. She understood. Together, the two of them gathered more of the flowers, and when they had enough, went back to the gathering den to Mheetu and Vitani.

Addana sighed. "I just hope Father will not take this personally. Having his eldest child doing this may be too much for him."

Marrone's grey eyes narrowed at his Nyembe, "Tell me you didn't do this Nyembe. What where you thinking!" he snapped angerily in his sons face. He stepped around Nyembe shaking his old head, the thunder boomed over head. "How could you...I've never raised you think this!" he growled.

When Tempesta was picking the blue flower from under a fallen log she smiled as Delano joined her side. She bounded back towards the Pride and silently made her way into the gathering den. She silently stepped up to Mheetu, "Hey Mheetu...this is going to make you feel better." she whispered. She pulled the petals from the blue flower and squeezed them between her paws, the green jucie falling into Mheetu's cut. She held his fliching body down with her paw and then pressed fresh new leaves on the wound. "There..just relax...you'll be fine." she said softly. She stepped back and nodded to Vitani, "Hes going to be okay." she stepped beside Delano and nuzzled her face into his mane.


Mheetu flinchd but felt a tingle surge through his open shoulder, he looked up at Tempesta and nodded. He rested his head back onto the cold stone ground and stared out of the den.

Nyembe frowned. "Why should you worry about one commoner? It's not like he's important or anything. I thought Vitani was supposed to marry a prince," he stated. The frown remained on his face as he waited for his father to speak. "What, Father? Do I lose the throne over this?" he asked.

After helping Mheetu, Delano and Tempesta left the gathering den to leave him with Vitani. Delano looked at the ground, ashamed. "Hey, Tempesta..." he said softly, "I... I'm sorry for losing my temper back there. I should have been in control of myself more... I didn't mean to hit Nyembe. It's just that... I... I'm sorry." He said.

Now he looked up at her. Delano looked at Tempesta's eyes again. "Thank you." He told her. "For helping me." She looked at him, not understanding. Delano smiled sheepishly. "For stopping by the den. You... cleared my mind. I was able to think again." He said. "Thanks." He nuzzled her, glad to be in her presence.

Vitani smiled. "I'm glad he will be." She gladly said, nodding and walking over to Mheetu. "I'm not leaving your side, until you're better." Smiling, she sat closely beside him. "And you are not leaving this den." She added, looking to his hard bitten shoulder. Licking it, she hoped it didn't hurt him.

Maximus walked to Marrone. "What is my punishment?" He said, looking directly at the ground. "Your son threatened to kill my family. What was I supposed to do?" He added, still looking at the same spot on the dirt. Knowing Marrone was angry at him, he didn't want to look into his eyes. He was pretty sure, that his family hated him too.

Marrone looked to Maximus, "Let me think about it Maximus, I'll talk to you tomorrow about your punishment. I need to deal with my son." he said in a aggravated tone dismissing Maximus. He looked back at Nyembe, "Mheetu's not a commoner, hes part of the Pride. The Pride is our family." he said softly looking down at Nyembe. "I'm sorry, but your losing the crown." he said in a exhausted sigh. "You could be exiled for such trechery...especially against another. I raised you better...Addana will have the crown." he said sternly looking down on Nyembe. "Leave me Nyembe, I cant bare the sight of you right now." he snapped angerily. He felt the cool rain slowly begin to fall on his pelt and he gazed up at the sky, the rain cooling his anger.


Tempesta licked Delano's cheek and nuzzled him lovingly, "I'm here for you always, you dont have to apologize. Things happen." she whispered into his ear softly. She padded into their den and curled up between his paws and purred softly, "The rainy season wont be going on too much longer..." she whispered. "I wonder what Marrone is going to do with Nyembe...."

Mheetu smiled slightly and he felt the warmth of Vitani's body, "Tani I'm not going anywhere..." he chuckled softly. "He caught me off guard...I cant believe Nyembe.." he grumbled. His mossy green eyes looked up at Vitani, "All for you.."

Nyembe went into a fury. "Addana?! What has she ever done to deserve it?!" he roared. He didn't care what his father thought. "Plus, who's she going to marry? Jafar?" he continued.

"I'm so sorry you were forced to do this." Himili nuzzled her mate sympathetically. "I'd have done the same thing."
"Mom?" Zuwa asked, "Are we going to be okay?"
