"Mio" Nova growled, shocked at him calling after the leopard.

She looked at him with worry in her eyes. For once in her life, Nova was frightened. She hadn't picked up the scent of the Leopards at all, and when they had all suddenly appeared she felt uneasy and worried. Was it because of the cubs? Had she finally grown out of her rash decisions to enter a fight because she had cubs stirring within her.

Meeko stepped out from behind Shinova and looked up at his friend with worry.

"Are... Are they gone?"

Yes Meeko they are gone. You do not have to hide anymore. He was furious and looked at Nova and saw the worry in her eyes and looked at Shinova and said go have fun with Meeko, but do not pass that line. Me and Nova have to talk.

[Tora]

[indent]The hair on Shinova's back stood up at the comment Mio made. "Ordering me around like I'm his son or something? I was never his son and I never will be. I don't need him telling me what to do when I could tell him better advice than he could ever tell me." Shinova grabbed Meeko in his mouth and stormed off in the opposite direction of the line.[/indent]

[indent]"Meeko, how could he think that he can order me around like that? What gives him the right to think that he is my father or something?" Shinova spat. He was angry, and worried about everything. He was tired of running, tired of being ordered around, and tired of all the threats he's faced. "When is it all going to end Meeko? When will my life be normal? Or am I part of something more that I don't even know about?"[/indent]

Meeko winced as Shinova picked him up in his mouth. He was somewhat nervous, but relieved when Shinova walked away from the line. The whole scene was fresh in the meerkats mind and he was shaking slightly as he recalled the leopards words. Once they came to a halt, Meeko looked up at his friend and sighed with sympathy.

"Well, Mio's never been a father, so don't take anything he says too seriously. Obviously he cares about you and wants to keep you safe, but you don't have to see him as your father if you don't want too" Meeko said thoughtfully.

"I guess you'll just have to find out in time Shinova. Maybe you are meant to be king of some distant land, maybe you are to be king of this jungle, or maybe a rogue for life. The only one who can make that decision is you. We shape our own destinies"

Nova looked at Mio, her look hard.

"Why do you call him back and threaten him! They were going to leave us alone!" She growled.

I do not know the adrenaline is still going through I am sorry. Welts just enjoy our new home and there is no threat of anyone near by.

[Shadowfax]

"But what if they come back?! What if they try to attack us while we sleep? They know where we are now... What if our cubs wander too far? What if Shinova wanders too far?!" Nova broke off and looked to the floor.

She was scared for her little family and she could not get the picture of that demonic leopard out of her mind.

"No... I won't let him hurt my cubs!" She said, a tear rolling down her cheek.

They won't I won't let that happen. I will give up my life to save our families. I love you so much and I would not let anything happen.

[Shadowfax]

"Why did this have to happen?" Nova said, her eyes falling sadly to the floor. "I thought finally i'd found a life without fighting and now.. Now these damned leopards are threatening to take it all away from us" She said, walking over to the pool.

She stared down at her reflection for a while.

You do not need to worry if you do then life will pass you by as he pushes her in to go swimming with her. Just relax and be on your toes.

Nova gently slid into the water, but she was not in the mood for swimming. Whatever Mio said could not ease this worry and now Shinova was out there with large amounts of Leopards around. She shuddered and looked out at the line he had drawn in the mud.

"Why can't we all live in peace?" Nova sighed, beggining to see the errors of her ways.
