[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Vitani laughed as Sarafina elbowed her. "I haven't starting looking just yet." She answered smiling.

Mheetu sat down in front of them and sighed, "I've been having this weird dream, ever since I was a cub. I’m running through this savannah, not our lands. Different lands, but in my dream I know my way around. There is roaring in the background and animals shrieking, I don’t know if the thing is chasing me. But I hear a female’s voice; she’s in pain crying hurt. She keeps telling me to hurry up and save her.” he said softly. His voice trailed off as the den got darker and his green eyes flashed slightly in the now shining moon. “I don’t belong at Pride rock, I believe my stars are sending me somewhere else…but I’m not sure where.” he added. Mheetu looked at Nala, he loved his sister very much but he knew this is what needed to be done. “I know not at this moment, but these weird dreams have been reoccurring and developing more and more. I think they are telling me something, the great kings. They are telling me to follow my stars…” he said with a smile.

Nala felt her emotions run wild; Mheetu was telling her he was leaving. “Before you see your niece or nephew?” she said in a hurt tone. “But if you must go, go…but Mheetu stay for my birthing? Please? I want you here..with me and Simba.” she choked softly, she wanted to cry.

Sarafina nodded, "Your a beautiful young lioness. Perhaps Mufasa will send you to another Pride to look?" she added. Then Sarafina had an idea, she made her way to Mufasa. "Mufasa i'd like a word with you." she spoke calmly.

Vitani smiled widely. "Maybe." She answered, as Sarafina walked away. The young huntress walked into the Royal Den and laid on the rock her parents slept on.

Mufasa responded quick to Sarafina. "Okay!" He smiled, shaking out his grey-red mane.

[Songo]

Sarafina stepped beside Mufasa, "Having you been looking for a suitor for Vitani. Well if you need her to escorted to another Pride. You could send Mheetu with her, once his mane is fully grown and once Vitani is a little older." she said with a smile. "Mheetu would protect her and also realize life outside of the Pride lands isn't as great as he thinks. Then he will come home with Vitani and her new mate." she said with a big grin. She thought she had it figured all out, a way to keep Mheetu home. She hated the fact he wanted to leave and go out and adventure like Shujaa had.

Mufasa thought for a moment. "That's actually a great idea!" He paused smiling. "It'll probably be another month or two until his mane is full in. Just in time for our Grandchildren!" He smiled, Sarafina's idea was better then ever.

[Songo]

Sarafina nodded to Mufasa, Give us enough time to warm Vitani up to a suitor. Also inform another Pride that she is looking." she said with a smile. Sarafina quickly made her way over to Shujaa and smiled, she gave him the *I had a brilliant idea* look.

Shujaa looked at his mate. "What's your idea?" he whispered.

Zira's claws were outstretched as she preyed on the kingfisher. It was one of the only things here, and it was hard to catch. She pounced on the tiny bird, her claws piercing the skin. "Don't worry, baby. You will make it. I swear." She lay down and began to feast.

Sarafina smiled at Shujaa and nuzzled his neck, "Mufasa is sending Vitani to a new Pride to find a suitor. Mheetu will be her escort. But Mheetu must first grow his mane and once Nala has her cub." she said smiling victoriously. "Mheetu will dislike the other Pride he will be excited to come home and stay with us. To be a 2nd hand to Simba when he is future King." she added.

Mheetu's green eyes looked at Nala and Simba, "I shall wait for the cub to be born. Plus I don't think mother will let me leave until my mane is full grown." he added rolling his eyes. Mheetu sighed slightly and pulled himself to his paws, "Nala, I know you don't like this idea but...I have to. I want to be the lion who changes his stars." he said softly before disappearing into the darkness. He made his way behind the rocks and passed his mother and the rest of the Pride, he made his way towards the watering hole.

Sarafina noticed a shadow catch her eye and she looked to Shujaa, "I'm going to have a word with our son." she said in a sour tone. Sarafina followed quickly behind Mheetu, he was quick but she remained hidden. She watched him through the tall grass and her green eyes peered at him staring at his reflection in the water hole. "Why do you choose..this spot?" she asked emerging from the grass.

Nala nodded to Mheetu and watched him leave, she nuzzled Simba and rested her heavy body against his. "I hope Mheetu knows what hes doing. I have faith in him Simba, hes always wanted more." she said softly looking to her mate. She rubbed her belly softly, "What do you think about this whole situation Simba?" she asked.

Simba sighed. "I really don't know, Nala. I would feel bad if he left. However, it's up to him," he said.
