The Pride Lands (Zeke, NM, kovu42, morri908)

"I don't think you can really help much.." Mila moaned. She really didn't know what was wrong with her and she was beginning to get scared. "I feel like I'm dying.."

[Zeke]

Cold water splashed on Zeke's stomach and took his breath away for a second. He hadnt seen the small pond that he now stood in when he was running and stumbled into it. It felt good in the hot sun and he lay down it to rest.

After a few quiet minutes of being in pain, Mila got up. "Bakari, I'm going to go take a walk around." She said hastily, and looked towards the older lion. When he nodded, she ran off.

Mila ran the opposite way of where Zeke had been headed, to a plain desert. The sun was a bit brighter then it had been the previous day, and it showed the entire vast plain like desert ahead of her. She could make out a spot in the distance, and could not tell what it was.

Taisaku had been walking throught the desert for days, as he walked he couldn't help but notice that the ground beneth him had started to turn into a lucious grassland. He could see trees in the distance, so he headed for them in hopes of finding some water, as he had not had anything to drink for almost 3 days. As he walked on, he could make out what appeared to be a big rock, but could quite make it out. As he reached the trees, he noticed that there was no water at this set, so he laid down, from exhaution, and fell fast asleep.

Mila kept walking slowly towards the figure she had seen in the distance. It had moved, so she knew it was an animal of some sort. She wondered if it was food just waiting to be eaten or something else....

A few minutes of walking towards the figure gave Mila a great look at the figure, that she could now make out as a lion, who was laying there. She could tell that the lion wasn't in the greatest of conditions, but didn't know if he was friendly or not. She stood her ground, a few feet away from the lion and said fairly loudly. "You over there..... are you okay?" She asked, trying to be cautious, just in case the lion decided to attack her, for whatever reason.

Taisaku awoke to someone saying "You over there..... are you okay?" He moved his head slowly, so as not to startle whomever was speaking. He looked up to see a pretty young lioness staring at him from a few feet away. He proceeded to ask, "Is there anywhere to get something to drink at around here? I've been walking through a desert for the past 3 days, I haven't had anything to drink in forever." He laid his head back down, and waited for an answer.

"Yeah... there is a river not too far away.." Mila responded. She felt bad for this lion. He looked exhausted and about to die from hunger and thirst. "Come. I'll lead the way. If you want help, that is." She said.

Taisaku stood up slowly, not because he was afraid of startling the lioness, but because he was so weak from the long walk. Once he had gotten up off the ground, and almost fell a few times, he said, "Lead the way."

Mila led this unknown lion to the river she had just drank from recently, and listened behind her carefully, just in case the lion had gotten any ideas with her. A long, awkward silence occured between the time when the lion got up and the time they reached the river. The two reached the river without any problems, and Mila watched as the lion went up to the river and gulped down water. What could such a nice looking lion be doing out here all alone? Mila thought. She searched the lions body for any bruises or scratches, but he looked perfectly untouched. Obviously hasn't gotten into a battle of any kind recently, his body looks perfectly fine. In more ways then one.... "What's your name?" Mila asked, not expecting a reply for a while.

As Tai followed the unknown lioness, to what she said was a river, he couldn't help but think to himself Wow she's pretty .. When they reached the River, he took a long drink, enjoying the water that he had been deprived of for the past 3 days. As he was drinking, she asked his name. "I'm Taisaku, but most call me Tai", he replied, "And what is you're name, pretty one?"
