"I plan on having cubs with Nala," Simba whispered happily, looking away from Mheetu as he did so.

Nala scowled at Simba and Mufasa, she caught him telling his father. “Killing the surprise already?” she said raising her eye brow at the two whispering lions. She smirked and turned to the Pride; she stood to her paws and stepped forward. “Simba and I have been taking steps to our future. We have a plan and finally, step 1 is completed. I’m pregnant.” she said with a big grin rubbing her belly. Nala and Simba both knew the news for a couple days now and the young lioness finally understood how her mother felt a few seasons back.

Sarafina smiled and ran over to her daughter quickly nuzzling her, “Congradulations Nala, you and Simba will be great parents.” she added pulling Simba into a hug. Tears filled her green eyes and she stepped back, “Sorry, I’m so happy.” she muttered wiping her tears away. Sarafina looked to Sarabi and Mufasa, nodding in agreement. She stepped beside Shujaa and hugged her mate, “Love you.” she whispered.

Mheetu ran to Nala and embraced her in a big hug, and then he looked down at her small round belly. “Here I thought you were just getting fat.” he said with a smile. His green eyes looked to his big sister, “congrats you two lovebirds.” he said before making his way away from the group. Mheetu had things on his mind, though Nala had good news, he had more news of his own.

Sarafina’s green eyes narrowed as she watched Mheetu disappear back into the tall grass, she stood up to follow him. She paused for a moment and looked to her family; she would talk with him later. Sarafina opened her muzzle and let out a roar into the sky, “Congrats!”

Simba looked into Nala's eyes. "I look forward to the birth of our cub," he said. He was eager to be a father. "Nala, you'll be a great mother," he told her.

"You can't leave!"
"Zira, I... I... I have to. It's not my style to... settle down. You have a cub now, like you wanted, and I have to go."
Zira stared at the lion, dumbfounded. "Chumvi, you have to help me take care of this cub!" she said, looking at her bulging stomach.
"I don't have to do anything." Before Zira could protest, Chumvi was gone. She lay down and wondered how she could keep it alive with only herself in this barren wasteland.

Meanwhile, Simba was very happy that the announcement had been made. He looked at Nala. "You look as beautiful as ever," he told her.

Nala licked Simba's cheek, her blue eyes lighting up. "Thank you, i'm truely happy." she said nuzzling him softly. Nala laughed at Mheetu's comments but frowned as he disappeared into the bushes. Something was bothering him but she knew that he would tell her in time, she looked to her mother and father. Nala rubbed her round belly with her fore paw and joined in on the celebration roar,[i] the Pride lands would be buzzing about this[\i]. she thought to herself smiling.

Sarafina smiled and nuzzled Nala, "Oh my beautiful daughter, you've made me so proud." she cooed hugging Nala once more. Sarafina looked at Shujaa, "Were going to be grandparents!" she yelled excitedly. The green eyed lioness made her way over to Mufasa, "Congradulations." she said with a smile. "They are a strong team, they are a good match." she added.

Mheetu found his way back to the watering hole, the young lion collapsed onto the dirt ground. His green eyes found his reflection in the water and he smacked it with his paw. He was grouchy, he'd been having this nightmare since he was a cub. But now it wouldn't stop going away, Mheetu knew he had to talk to Nala and Simba. Hed'd wait until later tonight, then tell them about the plans he made for himself.

"And now the wait begins. I can't wait to see if it will be a boy or a girl," Shujaa said, fantasizing of the day that his grandchildren would be born.

Simba looked at Nala. "Are you comfortable?" he asked, obviously concerned for his mate's comfort and safety.

Mufasa stood tall from the news. His wrinkly face formed a smile. Grandpa Mufasa. He thought, noticing Sarafina walking over. "As they are!" He laughed, noticing Mheetu's absence. "Uhh, Sarafina. Do you have any plans for Mheetu?" He whispered, making sure no one else heard. "I can make some? If he doesn't have his own?" He smiled.

Vitani tackle hugged Simba. "I'm going to be an aunt! WOOHOO!" She was happier then ever. She danced and hugged Nala lightly. "Thoughts on names?" She asked Nala, her sister-in-law.

Sarafina smiled and sighed, "Mheetu has been giving me trouble lately Mufasa. Such a free spirit, like his father. I'm not sure yet, Shujaa and I debating as we speak." she added.

Sarafina nodded at Shujaa, "I hope its a girl!" she whispered. "Imagine, as beautiful as our little Nala. shes going to be trouble." she laughed. Sarafina watched Simba go all worry wart on Nala and she smirked, "You were like that when I was pregnant with Mheetu. So careful and gentle, wouldn't let me hunt or go anywhere alone." she added licking Shujaa's cheek. "Such a good daddy."

Nala shifted her weight and she already felt heavier and drained, she sighed for a moment. Her blue eyes looked up towards the sky, it was almost night and the sun was lowering. "Lets just go relax in our den, I want to talk about more names." she cooed cutely. Nala felt Vitani hug her and she hugged her back, "Our names are a secret. We have a boy and a girls name picked out for the special day." she said smiling. Nala hugged all the lionesses and talked to some of the animals as she finally got free of the crowd, she made her way to her den to relax. Laying down on the cool stone floor she leaned to her side, making sure she didn't put too much pressure on her belly.

Sarafina noticed Vitani, "Tani, have you made plans for a suitor? Your that age you know, any ideas?" she asked elbowing Vitani with a smirk.

Mheetu had waited a moment while everyone finished their daily duties before dark, he made his way towards Nalas and Simbas den. "Nala...Simba.." his high voice from a cub was slowly lowering with age. His green eyes peeked around the corner and he stepped into the den, he dipped his head respectively. "May I have a word with you two?" he asked.

Nala looked up at Mheetu, she could tell by her brother's face it was important. "Of course, your my brother. You can say anything you'd like Mheetu." she whispered and looked to Simba worriedly.

"Yeah, Mheetu. Tell us," Simba said as he sat down, ready to help his friend and brother-in-law.
