Gakuru felt very warm and comfortable in his and Jata's close embrace, but he forced himself to pull away from her as he got to his feet

Whenever Jata stopped and nuzzled him, Gakuru returned the gesture, not feeling like ever wanting to leave her side again. But they were now near the den, and even though it was still a little before dawn, Gakuru thought that they should be as quiet as possible despite the low chances to wake anyone up in such an early time, "Let's be quiet now." he said, his voice now more quiet than before
