[Zeke]

"No, that's not it," He said, looking away from Mila. "I don't know... I just need to get out." With that, Zeke started padding out of the cave and took into a full sprint infront of the cave.

That's definitely it. Why? Whatever. Mila thought. She dragged her feet as she made her way farther into the back of cave. She became tired and rested again. "What's with him?" she thought aloud.

[Zeke]

Zeke raced through the tall brush of the vast grasslands. It felt good to feel the wind on his muzzle again. He was just running for fun, to blow off some stress. I don't know why I feel uncomfortable around Mila, He thought as he ran. I like her, but I don't want to show it. Why?

"He's feeling emotions, probably the first time in a while," Bakari mused as he padded over to Mila to lay down. "Look, he quite clearly likes you but is very embarressed about it." Bakari laid down with a small grunt of effort, his legs still a little sore. "I'm not one to give relationship advice, or any advice now that i think about it. I don't know how you should handle it, but I know you two will come out of this ok."

"He does?" Mila asked rather suddenly. "Okay.." She added. She didn't know if she liked him back. The feelings she had before they were captured had vanished, and she didn't know if she liked him anymore. "Well we haven't really gotten into any trouble yet.. " Mila said back to Bakari with an embarrassed smile. "Why would he be embarrassed though?" She asked the older lion.

"I really don't know, his emotions are his own and I don't want to go prying into them. I'm afraid I might get lost in that mind of his." Bakari said as he lay in the cool, shady part of the cave. "I'm serious though, I'm probably the last lion you ever want to get dating advice from. I've got a few scars to prove that." He smiled at Mila, appreciating the fact that she had trusted him.

Mila chuckled a bit at Bakari's comment. "Well I'll keep that in mind." She said. She laid down and tried to go to sleep again, but was unsuccessful. The pain in her stomach was getting worse and after a little bit she began to toss and turn, moaning a bit here and there.

"Hey, Mila? You feelin' OK over there?" Bakari asked, hoping she wasn't going to have another one of those episodes or end up falling on top of him. I'm sure that would be the last thing Zeke would ever want to walk in here and see, Bakari thought to himself. "Should I go get Zeke?" he offered, already half standing up.

"I'm trying to be" Mila replied truthfully. "No, don't go get Zeke. He wouldn't want to see me like this..." She added. She tossed and turned a bit more, and tried not to show pain.

Bakari could see she was in quite a bit of pain, but the last thing he wanted to do was go against her wishes and have her dark side gunning for him. "Is there anything I can do?" he asked, hoping to help out in some way.
