[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Nala smiled at Simba, I'm glad I got you." she whispered and nuzzled him. She looked down at Mheetu and stuck her tongue out at him playfully before turning to the Pride. "Me and Simba are going to go for a little walk, get away from the madness." she said and nudged his side with her nose, "Come on.." she whispered. Her blue eyes glanced to him and then the Pride lands, a big grin on her face.


Mheetu stuck his tongue back out at Nala, "Can I comee?" he said looking to his mom.


Sarafina shook her head, "Not today Mheetu. Let them have their space, they are married now." she said pulling her cub close. "What if your father and I take you hunting? Would you like that?" she said asking him softly. She looked to Shujaa, she could use a good family outing.

"That sounds good, Sarafina. We could use a good hunt," Shujaa replied. Meanwhile, Simba followed Nala, taking note of the grin on her face. "I'm right behind you," he said.

Sarafina nudged Mheetu forward, "Come along Mheetu, leave Simba and Nala alone." she said ushering him gently. Sarafina looked to Shujaa, "What were you thinking of eating today?" she asked curiously as they walked. She looked down at Mheetu between them, a smile on her face.


"Fine.." Mheetu whinned and followed his mother and father. "Can we go see the antelope? Or maybe a Wildabeest! There huge! Bigger then dad. Aren't they bigger then dad?" he exclaimed as they walked. He padded around his parents as they moved at a comfortable pace and he took in all the sights of the Pride lands.

Nala made her way through the tall grass until they were a bit away from Pride rock, she slowed down to walk beside Simba. "It all happened so fast, can you believe it?" she said softly. Her blue eyes gazed at Simba lovingly and she licked his cheek, she then nuzzled him and she watched her blue flower fall to the ground.

"Yes, they're big, and dangerous, if we're not careful, Shujaa said, remembering how he used to be like this with his parents in his birth pride.

Simba smiled at Nala. "Today is a dream come true," he told her. He then looked ahead. "Come on, there's a secluded place near the waterhole that I found a few days ago," he said.

Soon, Simba and Nala were at that spot. "Well, we're together now," Simba said. He then laughed, thinking of how they had responded to Zazu's statement that they would one day be married when they were cubs. He looked back at Nala. "Nala, you looked very beautiful today," he said.

"How dangerous? Have you ever brought one down?" he asked curiously. Mheetu's green eyes looked up at his father as he spoke, "Dad, how did you meet mom? he wondered. Mheetu stepped along the dirt path with his parents until he found a small thick patch of grass under a tree, he made his way over and rolled onto the ground. His head lifted and he smiled at his parents, his furry red tuft beginning to resemble Shujaa's own when he was a cub.

Sarafina listened to Mheetu ask a thousand questions before he ran off towards the tree. "Mheetu.." she spoke softly and quickly padded to catch up with him. She smiled down at him, "Such a handsome cub." she cooed giving Mheetu a lick on his cheek. She laid to her belly close to him and looked up as Shujaa made his way over, "Go ahead honey. Tell Mheetu here, how we met." she smiled.

Nala nuzzled Simba's neck softly and followed close beside him, "The watering hole? Whats so great about the watering hole?" she said laughing and sticking out her tongue. "Oh Simba, where not little cubs anymore. I can't believe we really married. I'm glad you picked me." she whispered with a grin. "Thank you, you looked nervous." she muttered as she sat back beside him. She inched closer and snuggled up into his furry red mane, she purred softly.

Shujaa sighed. "Well, Mheetu, when I was younger, I left my birth pride and became a wanderer. Some time after that, I found your mother in the Pridelands and went with her to Pride Rock and we stayed together for a few days, which is how Nala came into existence. After those few days, I left. Still later, Scar brought me back to Pride Rock, and that's where I stayed," he explained.

Simba smiled at Nala. "Nala, picking you was easy. You're the most beautiful lioness I've ever seen, and my best friend," he said before leaning in to lick her cheek.

Mheetu listened to his dad speak, "So why did you leave your birth pride? Wheres your home at?" he asked. Mheetu looked at his father and then at his mother. "So you weren't picked for mommy, like Nala was for Simba?" he asked confused.

Nala blushed as Simba licked her cheek and she pushed his big furry body to the soft grass, she pinned him. "You really picked me because you couldn't beat me. So you thought id be a worthy partner." she said playfully growling. She licked Simba's cheek and looked down at her new mate, he resembled Mufasa but had his own look. She nuzzled his furry mane and nipped at his ear, still pinning him. "One day, this whole land will be ours. One day well have cubs." she whispered looking down at him with her big blue eyes.

"I guess I left because I wanted to be free and see the savannah. No, I wasn't picked for your mother. That's a practice of the royal family," Shujaa said.

Simba smiled. "I wonder what our cubs will be like," he said.

" Oh..." Mheetu said looking down at his paws. His little mind was working for a moment before he looked up at his dad, "Did you change your stars?" he asked curiously. The green eyed cub looked at his mother and then father, "Well, what did your dad tell you when you wanted to leave your Pride?"

Sarafina looked down at Mheetu and then at Shujaa, she sighed. In her heart she knew Mheetu was going to leave the Pride lands, he was restless inside. She pulled her cub closer and licked his cheek, she nuzzled him softly. Her green eyes found Shujaa's and she nodded to him to answer, "Did you change your stars dear?" she asked.


Nala smiled back and rested her head on Simba's furry chest, "The future King will be handsome like his father." she responded imagining in her head. "He could look like you, but be smart like his mother." she giggled. Nala nuzzled Simba once more and relaxed, this quiet time was comforting.
