"And.. my father hit me once." Kuanguka turned and there was a large cut on her flank. "I... I just wanted to stay here. I guess I can't." She turned away.

[Adofo]

Adofo: No no no! Wait! ....i was married to your mother once. So.....in a way....that makes you my daughter. You can stay as long as you want!

[Iri]

Kuanguka shrugged. "If you wouldn't mind." She lowered her head and started to walk to Pride Rock, with Samaki leading her there.
"Oh, look," Adena said. "Hello, Kuanguka!" She leaped up and nuzzled her half-sister's shoulder. "Why is she here?" she asked Adofo. "Not that I mind."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Her parents and her....haven't been getting along. So she ran away.

[Iri]

Kuanguka nodded shyly.
"Well, we'll always let you stay," Adena said.
"Thanks," Kuanguka murmured.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Come on. I'll set up a bed for you.

[Iri]

Kuanguka shrugged. "I... I'm used to sleeping on the ground. You don't have to."

[Adofo]

Adofo: No no! I'd be more than glad too! And....i'm sorry how your parents treated you.

[Iri]

Kuanguka flattened her ears. "I'd really not want to be a burden." She laid down on the hard ground and curled up.

[Adofo]

Adofo: I swear, I WANT to do it.
Adofo finishes making her bed.
Adofo: Besides, I'm already done.
