The next morning Mufalfa woke up alongside Marini and said, "It's late morning. I'm sure everyone has been looking for us."

Marini woke up with a yawn. She looked at Mufalfa with a happy smile, "They can wait just a little bit longer." she said softly, kissing him on his muzzle once.

Mufalfa said, "Well I was small so it was a little strange." He smiled when she kissed him and said, "Do you remember when we first met 'Rini? We were both different lions then..."

Marini said, "Yeah..." she chuckled, "You couldn't see past your own nose back then."

Mufalfa said, "I don't think I was that bad..."

Marini chuckled, "You were." she nuzzled him and said, "But now you're not."

Mufalfa then said, "Well I was annoyed at your brother...but now I'm not."

Marini said, "I wonder whether he and Fadhili ever go 'hang out' like we do. I know I shouldn't say anything but it looks like he's always sleeping."

Mufalfa shrugged, "I don't care. It's not my business." He then got up, "We have to get back to the others." He noticed his son and daughter wre awake when they got back and he made up an excuse, "Oh your mother and I had to go drink some water..."

Marini said, "I know it's not, I wasn't going to ask them either." when they got back their daughter smiled and ran up to them as always. She looked up at them and said, "Oh, so the waterhole's far right?" she and her brother were already awake for quite a while.
