Kovu and vitani were shocked. "Then what happened?" Kovu asked, almost afraid to find out.

Simba maintained the eye contact. "Then, I tried to rouse my father, but I realized that he was gone. Scar came and made me believe that it was my fault, then sent his hyenas to kill me. I escaped and ended up in the jungle, eating bugs and living with two friends who saved me," he said.

Kovu and Vitani were shocked. "Scar really is a monster." Vitani said. " Does that make us monsters?" Kovu asked.

Simba shook his head. "No. Why would you even think such a thing? What Scar did was his fault," he said.

Because he's our father." Kovu said. "and his 'choosen ones' what ever that means." Vitani added.


Meanwhile Damon and Makaila trekked through the outlands, unaware they were dangerously close to where Zira, scar, and their pride were.

Simba disagreed. "You abandoned him and came with us," he said. He then looked at Nala. "Nala, how can I explain this?" he asked.

"To think, you're what I'm left with" Zira muttered, finally turning from her son and walking off a bit.

"That's not true, Aunt Zira" Nyx tried to reassure. "You have Kovu and Vitani, they...".

"Are gone. They have betrayed us!" Zira snarled.

Nyx backed up, her eyes going wide. While Nuka looked thoughtful and then grinned, thinking through how this opened up the position of his parents favor up for him. He quickly hid his smile though.

"Well, uh...I could...take over some of their...duties if..." Nuka began. His mother, again, just walked past him though, leaving both him and Nyx to process what she'd told them.

"Wow...Kovu and Vitani. Gone" Nyx stated, "that's just..." she paused sniffing the air, "Hey? You smell that?".

"This could make me the next Chosen One..." Nuka was muttering to himself, obviously not paying attention and lost in his own little world of ambition. He really had inherited his father's jealous drive, he just lacked the brains.

"Nevermind, I'll go investigate it myself" Nyx walked off, sniffing and following the scent...

Zira walked until she found Scar within the other Outsiders. "The Pridelanders have stolen yet another thing from us. Our hope is gone. Kovu and Vitani have betrayed us" she stated, telling her mate the news straight out. If there were any not afraid of Scar, Zira was it. In fact she often felt she could tell him what to do, though he was of course their leader and she agreed to that as she had back when they ruled the Pridelands.

Meanwhile, Scar was trekking through the territory. As he did so, he could smell a new and strange scent nearby. He growled. "Show yourselves!" he shouted.

Damon emerged from Hiding with Makaila crouching behind him. Damon saw Scar and immediantly became defensive. "I am Damon, and this is Makaila. In the Name of Lionel and the 13 original kings, we demand safe passage." Damon said, knowing from his mother that every lion and lioness knew the story of Lionel and the 13 kings who defeated Hyen the devourer and created the world, and that the 13 were the ancesterors of nearly all royol bloodlines, including Mufasa and scar's blood line.

Scar growled. "Spare me your pathetic demands, boy. This is my territory, and I am the one who declares who can go and who will be chased out," he said.
