Another Private RP with Adofo/Iri

[It's all right. And eek! The other day I swear the floor was rumbling, that's how bad the storm was. xc]

Chaltuu set Nuru down once they got home, and the young cub gulped. Instead of just giving her a normal lecture like she hoped, the lioness growled, "Are you insane!? You could have gotten yourself killed! And don't try to give me that, 'but we didn't get killed', because that's a load of rubbish. It's like you were asking to be taken by some vulture or you were asking for you and your friends to be ripped to shreds by some animal! Don't you ever go running off like that again, do you understand!? Agh, you cubs are infuriating sometimes..."

Quietly and meekly with a hurt expression on her face, Nuru nodded. "...Yes, mother." She looked at her father, not knowing whether he too would lecture or whether he'd think Chaltuu's lecture was too harsh.

"Why did you go running off?" Neema said once she and her mate sat down with their two sons. She seemed to be directing the question at both of them, even though Madiba stayed silent... She directed her glare at both of the brothers.

[Adofo]

Hamadou stepped in front of his mate and looked her in the eyes.
Hamadou: *whispers* Was that last part really necessary?

Gakere: We're sorry!

[Iri]

Chaltuu glared back at him. "Yes, it was. Because I'm giving her a wake-up call and it's true."

Irritated, Neema rolled her eyes and glared at her cub. "Gakere, did you even listen? I asked why you went running off, not for an apology!"

[Adofo]

Hamadou: Chaltuu!
He turned towards their daughter.
Hamadou: Mommy didn't mean that!

Gakere: .....We just wanted to see the jungle. .....We heard it was really cool! ....We didn't think it would be that far!
Enzi meanwhile just stood and glared

[Iri]

Chaltuu growled at Hamadou. "Of course I meant it, Hamadou. Stop trying to claim that whatever I say, I don't mean. Because it's a lie and you and I both know it. I don't coddle or sugarcoat the truth. So don't ever try to say that I don't mean something." Upon seeing Nuru's hurt face, she huffed. "I don't hate you Nuru, all right? But I hate what you did. What if you had gotten hurt, hmm?"

Neema sighed. "Don't run off ever again... please. Do you boys promise?"

[Adofo]

Hamadou went silent. And he was a little happy to hear that she said she didn't hate their daughter.

Gakere: .....We promise.
Gakere had a few little tears drip from his eyes

[Iri]

Nuru looked happy to hear that while her mother was disappointed in her, she didn't hate her... "I love you," she said, pressing her muzzle against her mother's foreleg affectionately. She turned towards Hamadou and nuzzled against his foreleg. "Sorry, Daddy. It won't happen again!"

"Why're you crying?" Madiba asked his brother, faintly annoyed.

[Adofo]

Hamadou: .....It's okay. .....But you're grounded for a week.

Gakere whispered to his brother
Gakere: It'll lessen our punishment!

[Iri]

"A week?" Nuru said, but she supposed she deserved it. "Fair enough," she chirped, "but where am I grounded to?"

"I heard that, and no, it will not lessen your punishment," Neema said with a snort. "Crying won't work on me. You are both grounded for a week, same as Nuru," she said firmly, hearing Hamadou's declaration of a punishment.

[Adofo]

Hamadou: The den. You can still go outside for a little bit a day but me or mommy has to be with you. Also, no playing of any kind. Understood?

Gakere: .....yes ma'am.
Enzi: ......You're dismissed.
Gakere walked slowly over to where he and his brother sleep and laid down
