Navi gave up. She was now only a medium for Scar to use to interact with Simba. Rafiki grabbed Navi by the neck and choked her. She gagged and died. Rafiki had a plan. He waited for a sign that Scar had left.

"Trust old Rafiki, Simba." Rafiki then cracked open one of his melons, exhaled into Navi's mouth, and she coughed and came back to life. "Is he gone?" she asked.

Yes Navi he is gone. Now go to your group of cheetahs ok. Thank you Rafiki. You have yet again proven to be the wisest of all of us.

Navi had heard what Scar told her while she was dead. She reluctantly went back to her group.
