Nala looked up at the cliffside herself, but shook her head. "No we couldn't," she replied. "The lookout spot's just a ledge on the cliff, it's too far down to jump."
She then looked out at the lands around them, wondering what secrets this place beyond the Pridelands could possibly hold. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind looking around, either," she said, walking past Simba and back out into the sunlight, looking up find the others had not reached the cliffside ledge yet. "Let's just wait for Sarabi to get up there, though...we don't want to give her a fit by going missing so soon after everything that's happened?"
Nala's cheeky grin said she was harbouring thoughts of running away despite her cautious words, but she suppressed them. She could see that Simba was happy to see his mother again, and knew he would not want to do anything that might upset her...at least not for a few days.

Tanga chased after Marini as the two of them burst out into the light, slowing down as he realised that there was a cliff edge just beyond the tunnel opening. But as he stopped, his eyes adjusting to being back in the light again, he blinked a few times, before finally getting a good look at just what kind of view this cliffside ledge presented.
"Whooooooa!" he breathed, unknowingly mimicking his reaction when he first found the gorge the day Mufasa died as he stared out across their new land. Their cliff, which faced to the south, away from the Pridelands, offered them a wide view of a savannah that, while nowhere near as lush and rich as their old home, was still very beautiful. Off to the south-west, he could see a small forest that was just itching to be explored, and the further he looked south, the more barren the lands became, until he could see what he believed was a desert right on the far horizon.
He turned back to Marini, grinning from ear to ear at the sight before them. He did not attempt to use words to express the view they were seeing right now, nor did he really have any.

Sarabi smiled as she saw the two cubs taking in the sight, as the former queen herself came out of the tunnel and relished in the sight once more. "It's a beautiful view, isn't it?" she said wistfully. "From the top of the hill above, you can almost see all the way back to Pride Rock, as well...but I like this view more when I'm out here...it reminds me that there is a world beyond the Pridelands, and that there are other lions out there...somewhere."
