"I wasn't even in the battle so I dunno what to say about that." He replied.

[Zeke]

Zeke decided to mess with Taro's mind, attempting to earn an ally. "Why, because you are too much of a coward to do what you've gotten yourself into? Too afraid to go through with what you started?"

"If that's what you would call it, then yes." Taro said.

[Zeke]

"Then how can you live with yourself in this sad excuse for a pride. It obviously doesn't make you happy. You'd be better off by yourself. You have no self-respect," Zeke stated. He could see that his talk was slowly taking effect on Taro but he didnt know if he would be able to alter him.

Taro sighed. "I think it would be better if we stopped talking." He said.

[Zeke]

That'll give him something to think about, Zeke thought as he looked contenly upon what he'd done, however he didn't stop. "If you acted now and changed, your life would be so much better. Have you ever considered doing so?"

Taro replied truthfully. "Every day." was all he said.

[Zeke]

"Then why hessitate? All of the pain could be over now, with one quick decision. You could relive yourself of all this tension," Zeke glared at Taro, hoping that his plan was working

"If your trying to convince me to let you go, it's not happening." Taro said firmly.

[Zeke]

"Who ever said that I was? Maybe I have no care for my well-being anymore. Maybe this pride has corrupted you so much that you can no longer identify when someone is trying to help you," Zeke was desparate to get Taro on his side. Zeke had never shown this side of him, often because he thought manipulating lions was an evil thing to do. But in the current situation he was in, he had nothing to lose.
