Simba again became curious about what was Mufasa's plan, but he again told himself that he would know once the time was right. He trusted both his father and Rafiki to not lead his entire pride into doing something stupid.

Kopa had been hearing the whole thing and went up to them. "What are you talking about?" he asked.

Simba smiled at his son, "Nothing that should worry you for the time being." he didn't have too much information himself.

"What do you mean by Vitani and I being betrothed?" Kopa continued.

Simba went ahead and explained, "It means that one day you two are going to be married." if Simba knew his son well enough, his reaction wont be so different from Simba's when he heard about him and Nala being betrothed.

"Eww! She's my friend!" he exclaimed, looking back at Vitani.

Both Simba and Nala chuckled. The king hadn't been expecting a positive reaction from his son at all. Vitani, who was still in the back of the den and probably out of earshot, just smiled in their direction and said nothing.

Kopa went over to Vitani. "Did you hear that? They want us to be married one day," he said.

Vitani looked at Kopa, "They do?" she didn't know how she should react to it infront of him, but deep inside she was kind of happy about it.
