Jay becomes confused. “..I don’t see why I wouldn’t? ..is there something I’m missing here?”
Why would I need to promise that? Jay thinks to himself. That’s a given.

[TheLastLion]

"Not that I didn't already trust you to do that, but you and I both know how he can get at times."

[Stormy]

“I guess.” Jay says as he watches Sadie nod off to sleep.

[TheLastLion]

"Well, looks like we could all use some rest."

[Stormy]

“I’ll stay with Conal tonight. Just to be safe.”

[TheLastLion]

"That sounds like an excellent idea." Kayla replies. "Goodnight, Jay." (Goodnight.)

[Stormy]

“Night Kayla.” He watches as Kayla takes Sadie off. Jay lays not too far from Conal. “I hope you’ll be okay.” Jay says quietly - before eventually falling asleep unaware of the terrible nightmares that he would receive due to everything that had happened in the past day.

Kayla wakes up and visits Conal.

[Stormy]

Conal & Jay were both still sleeping when Kayla came by.

Kayla lies beside Jay and drifts off sleep again.
