[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Nuka slithered through the Pridelands, staying in the shadows and hiding in every hiding place. As he reached a rock near Pride Rock, he stopped. And listened. He could hear shouts of happiness and could make out a few. From what he could tell, Simba and Nala were to be officially mates, and Nala's parents were to have a cub. Although it was hard, he identified the voices of Mufasa, Simba, Sarabi, and Nala's parents. No Vitani or Nala. He made a mental note to find them. As he sneaked away, he heard crying. Vitani was the first name that came to mind. He followed the sound, he heard the calming, comforting voice of Nala. Vitani was in tears to discover that she was Zira's daughter, as he heard, and Nala was just there to comfort her. With a job well done, he headed back to his parents.

Vitani got to her feet and wiped the tears off her face. "Lets go." She smiled, but her eyes were still full of pain. She flipped her hair back and walked out of the den and onto the soft grass. She looked up at the sky and sighed then went on her way back to her home.

Simba was wondering where Vitani had gone when, finally, she appeared. Simba went over to her. "Hey 'Tani, guess what? Sarafina's having a new cub," he said happily. However, he did take note of the visible emotional pain in her eyes and stopped right there.

Nala followed behid Vitani as Simba approached them, her blue eyes looked to her parents and she nodded. Hearing the roars of Mufasa and Sarabi, Nala let out a loud roar of her own. She then stepped up to Simba and gave him a quick nuzzle before stepping beside Sarafina. Nala enjoyed a piece of gazelle and laid to her belly, she was really exhausted. Her blue eyes scanned the lions and lionesses as the rejoiced and got closer, it seems things were looking up. Nala let out a soft sigh as she thought to the moment in the gorge, all those hyenas and Scar. A shiver went down her spine and she looked to Mufasa and Sarabi, was her pride introuble?


Sarafina nuzzeled Nala and leaned on her daughter, "A wonderful day.." she whispered with a smile. Sarafina noticed Nala in deep concentraction and she nudged her, "Are you okay?" she asked softly.

Simba decided to investigate what was wrong with Vitani. "Vitani, are you OK? You seem sad," he said. He then sat back and waited for a reply.

Vitani smiled. "Thats wonderful!" She said happily. Simba asked her a question, she sighed. "Well, you aren't my real brother. Mufasa and Sarabi are not my real parents either. I was born into evil, and brought up good. It makes me happy and mad." She sighed looking into Simba's eyes. "You'll always be my true family." She smiled nuzzling her brother.

"Yes, 'Tani. We're your true family, and no one can ever take that away from us," Simba replied as he returned Vitani's nuzzle.

Nala looked to Vitani and smiled, "I'm proud for you to be my sister-in-law and best friend." she said softly. Pulling herself to her paws she stepped towards Simba and nuzzeled him, "Have you spoke to Mufasa yet about the ceremony?" she asked curiously.


Sarafina's ears perked up at the sounds of 'marriage' and she smiled, "Infront of the whole pride right?" she said with a smirk.

"Yes. My father talked about this with me the other today. It will be conducted in front of the whole pride, with Rafiki conducting the whole thing," Simba explained. He let his mind think of that day. The lioness of his dreams would truly be his forever.

"Father!" "Yes, Nuka," Scar said, waiting for news. "Simba and Nala are to be married, and Nala is expecting a new brother." "Yes, of course..." He trudged to where Zira was napping. He relayed what Nuka had just told him, and she nodded, grateful for this information. "I've been thinking of a plan," Scar said, and Zira grinned. He whispered his ideas to her, and she nodded. "Yes, yes..."
