"Oh, this is just for my own personal pleasure" Zilo said, laughing
"The real thing begins in a few hours, ladies." He said as he walked out.

Bakari resisted the urge to go after Zilo and once the cave was blocked again he let out a loud roar and lashed out at the air in front of him. "I can't die at the hands of that scum!" He paced around the small room anxiously. "And if that was for his own pleasure, why did he leave!" Bakari felt a wave of desperation at the thought that he may never get to sink his claws into that traitor.

[Zeke]

"Don't let him get to you Bakari. You're only giving him more power," Zeke said with his teeth clenched. "I can't stand the sight of that guy though." Zeke still didn't know what Mila was doing. He wanted to trust her but at the moment, it was too hard.

"You're right Zeke, I'll calm down," he said, barely believing himself he laid back down near the back of the cave and pondered his future. "Mila better know what she's doing..." was all he could manage to grumble.

[Zeke]

"He's just trying to torment us right now. Strike fear into us by making us think of what might happen," Zeke said. "I don't know if Mila is going to pull through for us, Bakari. But as of now, she is our only chance of getting out of here."

"She doesn't have to be our only chance," Bakari thought out loud. "If something happens, if they catch on to her or she decides that we're not worth the trouble, we are going to need our own way out." He thought back to his days in his pride and the moment where he made that fatefull decision to run. "If things do go wrong, Zeke, I want you to run. Run as fast as you can and get out of here, there are other prides that are likely to be onto Zilo's scheme and may take you in. You have to alert the other prides who don't know, and I have a debt to settle. Not just with Zilo, but with myself."

[Zeke]

"Wait, so you just want me to leave you here with that guy? I want to help you beat him. He killed my family, I'm not going to run this time," Zeke declared in a fierce voice, stared Bakari straight in the face. "Im not afraid of this guy."

[kovu42]

"Good," Bakari said, looking unblinkingly into his allies eyes. "Then, on this day, we shall put an end to this corruption and this honorless fiend!" He bowed respectfully to Zeke, "You'll need all your courage and that ferocity you just showed me. I'll be glad to have an ally in this fight. I just wish that we knew what Mila is really going to do. Do you think we should just attack Zilo straight out, or wait for the signal she said she'd give us?"

[Zeke]

"In the condition that we are in, we stand no chance against Zilo and his hyenas, so we are going to have to wait for Mila unfortunately," He sighed and looked back up at Bakari. "But if all goes to hell, I would be glad to fight to the death beside you, my friend." His talk with Bakari had finally mellowed him out and he resumed his usually calm composure.

"That's nice to know," Bakari said as he stretched himself out, feeling his spine crack a bit. "I'd like it if he would just show up and do something, the anticipation is gonna kill me more than the execution." he mused. "I'm also glad to see you back to your normal self."
