[PRIVATE] Taming the Lioness's Heart

Mzuri came toward the large famale and was terrified. She started crying and hyperventalating. "I am sorry. I am so sorry Mom." She then noticed the slip and said, "Sorry about that. Just ignore what I said please. I will go back to the den now." She made her way back to the den.

Kujasuri followed the female waiting for the leaders of the pride to come. This was easier than he thought it was going to be. And it is all thanks to you, you dumb lioness. Don't worry I will save your life somehow and will get you and your companions close to me where I may relieve you of your pain. He started laughing but then stopped realizing what he was doing. He waited for the leaders to come and see him.

@SnowyCheetah: She let a growl slip her lip at the male. She got to her four paws and walked off, looking over her shoulder to him, "I did better than 'pretty good', just so you're aware" she told him. Her hazel sneer dissapeared when she sighed out and looked around.

"You seem to know the land well. Get us away from here, then". She didn't know if her voice was in an ordering tone, or if it was a tone to 'encourage' him to get her out of here. Either way, she wanted to get away from the Outlands where there was not as much luxury as the Pridelands had to offer her.

@VitanisMate: Adeola gazed down at the cub and watched her for a few moments before she saw the young girl snap out of the 'trance' she was in and look at her with the same eyes she always did. Mother..., she thought.

While she watched the cub make her way back, she got to her fours and walked to the cub, keeping close to her. "Mzuri," she looked down at the small kid, "tell me about your family". She knew she was probably stepping into deep regret asking this, as the cub might not have wanted to talk about it, or even think about it. But she had nothing to lose; this cub didn't have ties to the lioness.

When she heard the laugh, she turned her foot right away and looked up at him with a hard, stern gaze. She walked right into him so she was up close and in his face, "don't go thinking you're in the pride yet, so whipe that creepy grin off your face and shape up". She probably sounded crazy right now, and she didn't seem to have any authority to be telling him off, but to be sure and safe of herself and the rest of her family, she had to take the stand. He wasn't going to mess with her.

She wasn't going to advance any more forward before he showed her some respect. She could wait there all day if she wanted.

Kamy just felt the nipped on her tail and saw Adeola running, then she run again to catch her, why she was running, Kamy accidently mistep and land very hard on her left paw, Kamy fell in the floor, and then she sit up, feel the pain on her paw, and start to cry
"owww, my paw, I hurt my paw"

@SilverSimba01: Adeola stopped dead in her tracks and turned her head to hear the cub was wailing. Good going, Adeola, she thought.

She walked over to the cub and arched her neck to look down at the small black and white cub. "Are you alright, Kamy?" She asked. The lioness bent down and looked over the kid's paw, seeing it was swollen and from her cries, it was obviously hurting her badly. She didn't wait for a response before she picked up the female girl in her mouth and walked away from the scene and over to a near by rock where she could put the cub in her paws and look her over.

Mzuri looked at Adeola sensing for one time in her life a sense of belonging. She wanted to hug her but thought against it. She composed herself and said, "My family decided to leave me and I wondered here." She left out the more gruesome parts. She looked at Adeola and trodded to the den.

Kujasuri looked at the female and said, "Don't worry I am sure you will find some traits of mine suitable for your liking and you meaning the pride of course." It was then he snickered. He bowed his head and said again, "I apologize for my past behavior but you do not know what it is like living out there starving and dying and just barely living. It is torture."

Kamy was still crying alot, she was feeling to much pain in her paw, "owww, my paw...hurts too much" *sniff*, she start to lick her paw, but still crying

@SilverSimba01: "Kamy, the only way you're going to stop the pain is if you stop thinking about it and don't lick it" she advised the young child. She knew how it felt to have a hurt paw; when she was a cub, she had the same thing happen to her all the time. No one would believe it now since she was so light on her feet and she was graceful when need be.

"Where are your parents, anyways?" The lioness asked the cub, looking around to spot other males and females around.

@VitanisMate: Her eyes widened at the sound of what happened to her mother and father. She rose her head up and looked forward, taking her gentle and steady steps like usual. "That's awful" she mumbled a little above a whisper. Poor Mzuri, the lioness thought.

She stopped in her tracks and looked down at the child. She didn't know how it felt at all to be left behind or abandoned, but she imagined-- no, she couldn't even imagine how much pain it must have caused the cub. Adeola sat down and opened her paw for the cub to come and hug her, "come here". How she was warming up to his little fur ball, she had no idea, but she couldn't stand not being able to hug the little bundle of fur. She was innocent and sweet as far as Adeola knew. Though she would rather not have everyone else know she had a soft side.

"You're right; I don't know how it feels. Because my father and mother provide for my siblings and I. And if you wish for the same, you watch yourself and shape up" she coldly answered him. With that, she turned around with her tail swapping him lightly in the nose and walked on steadily with the cub.

They came to the den site. There, a cream colored male named 'Afolabi' was raking his claws down a nearby tree, a similar colored female named 'Malaika' was rolling around in the soft blades, and a dark, large male named 'Neobi' was coming back from the den.

Neobi looked up to see his sister, and walked towards her. But when he saw the male, he flattened his ears and stared him down, "who is this, sister?". Neobi and Adeola looked nothing alike, seeing as how Neobi was her adoptive brother. Neobi didn't resemble neither of his other three 'siblings'.

"He can tell you" Adeola said in a bored tone, sitting down and gazing up at the male once more. Neobi looked the male over, the adoptive brother being larger than the new male who walked their land. Afolabi had taken notice of the stranger lion and he refrained from the tree, walking over to meet the eyes of the stranger as well. Malaika, like always, was off in her own little world and was still playing with the grass. The three out of four siblings were looking at the new male who was expecting to be let into the pride.

Mzuri said, "Okay thank you that is enought hugging," and laughed. She laughed and ran around some more ready to start her new adventure. She looked at the old female though and got mad again and said, "Why do you care about me?! All of the other adults didn't. They left me! Why?!"

Kujasuri looked at the leaders and started to give the best fake cry he could muster. "I am sorry but this lioness has hurt my feelings showing no regard of what I have been through and she is constantly mean to me." He looked at her, "Of course whatever I can do that will gain your trust I will gladly do. Must I save your life? Grovel at your feet? Contribute? Whatever you want!" He looked at the leaders. "I am starting to love this pride already. I am Kujasuri and I offer whatever you need. A hunter, a tracker, or a strong back. Whatever you need."

The little cub, Kamy, just look down and tell her "I don't have parents, I'm a lonely cub*sniff*" she have been an orphan cub since she can remember, Kamy was still trying to ignore the pain and also trying no to lick her paw, but the pain was to much for her, and she was about to cry again

@VitanisMate: She let the cub go and walked on, looking at her running around. When the mood changed, she stopped and looked down at the cub, listening to her words. She couldn't help but smile at this kid's mind. As she walked on past the child, she looked over her shoulder. "You expect me to speak for all the other adults?".

Adeola walked a little more forward, and then turned her body, "sorry kid, but I can only speak for myself".

Malaika overheard the 'act' this male was giving them, and she giggled running over and looking him over. She looked back at her siblings and giggled some more, "he thinks you're the leaders". Neobi and Afolabi looked at each other and then at Adeola, who rolled her eyes and went over to the top of the den to rest herself. She was the prime example of a 'lazy cat'.

"I will be leader one day!" Afolabi proudly said, sticking his chest out and a proud smile on his mug. Neobi sighed out and rolled his eyes, and Malaika laughed once more. Adeola rolled her eyes and rested her head on her paws, looking the whole scene over for anything suspicious.

"Brother, you're behind Neobi, who's behind Adeola for the next leader of the pride" Malaika stated in a matter-of-fact tone. As much as he hated to admit it, he knew she was right and walked away from the scene once more, leaving the youngest sister and the youngest brother to look over this new male, named 'Kujasuri'. "If you want to see the leaders, I'll go get them for you". Malaika hopped over her brother and bounced her way over to the den, poking her head in. "Mommy! Daddy!". Adeola felt the vibrations where she was lying down and she groaned out.

Then, a few short moments after Malaika came away from the den opening, a dark gray and brown female with hazel eyes emerged from the den and walked over to her daughter. Then behind her, a large, adult gold with a dark brown mane came out with the same hazel eyes and walked forward. Before he even spoke to Kujasuri, he was identifying him and sizing him up. "These are the leaders. Zuri," she looked at the female, "and Tendai". The male was last look at. Before she left the adults to talk, she rubbed her gold pelt to her parents and whizzed by to go sit with Adeola.

@SilverSimba01: Hearing the girl's words, she looked from her to the sun and sighed out. "That doesn't sound too nice for a little cub" she thought aloud. She didn't know how it felt to not have any parents, but there were plenty of time where she wished her father wasn't around so she could get a taste of how it felt to be father-less. As much as she loved her dad, she didn't like him very much.
