"I guess so." She nervously chuckles.

“And uh, I don’t want these dumb arguments or my thing with Flash to break our friendship apart.” Conal says with light cracks in his voice.

[TheLastLion]

"I don't either. I just-" Kayla fights back tears. "I just wanted to help him." "I wanted to do something good. I wanted to try and help prevent Parker from corrupting at least ONE innocent."

[Stormy]

"I know you only wanted to help him. .... But ...." Conal was now letting his emotions get to him and his eyes were visibly getting watery. "..I knew Parker had already gotten to him in some way and I didn't want you or Sadie to get hurt like I did whether it had been mentally by getting really close to him or physically."

[TheLastLion]

"He's a good kid, deep down. He just needs guidance, love, encouragement. We can still show him a better way, we can help him." Kayla says. "We can't let Parker win with him."

“I know..” “I-it’s just.. really hard for me to trust someone from Parker’s side at all.”

"This is how you get back at Parker. By proving that everything he stood for was wrong."

Conal wipes his eyes with his paw and gives a small smile. “You’re right.” ... “You’re a good lioness, Kayla. Don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise.”

Sadie peaks around the corner unable to be seen and sees Conal & Kayla. “Ugh, are they done yet?” She whispers to Flash who was behind her waiting as well.
