Another Private RP with Adofo/Iri

[Iri]

"Your mother died in her sleep?" Chaltuu grunted again. She lifted an eyebrow. She didn't feel sorry for him, but she certainly did wonder how. Her tail was lashing again, and she felt like kicking herself. Why was she acting like this? Why wasn't she just leaving with haste, and planning on never seeing him again? Humph. He was a rogue like her. How... Lovely.

[Adofo]

Enzi: Yeah.....she at times complained her chest was hurting. I guess her heart gave out. I had to dig a hole and I buried her. Every few months I go back to see her grave. She was all I ever had.

[Iri]

Chaltuu nodded. Though she didn't feel one scrap of pity for this lion, she still decided it was appropriate to be a little solemn. All he ever had? This guy didn't have siblings? A father? Cousins?
She stood up, but didn't prepare to leave. She just scratched at her ear with her hind paw, then plopped back down on her spot, settling in until she was comfortable again as she gestured for Enzi to continue. Her heart gave out? She had never heard of that before... But then again, she supposed it was possible.

[Adofo]

Enzi: I was a lot like you at one point. But then I saw how wrong I was. I wasn't myself. So....now I just travel around and try to solve everyone's problems! I just......want to make my mother proud.

[Iri]

Chaltuu resisted the urge to roll her eyes and snap, "I could never make my parents proud". It was sort of true- she never had been able to. Her mother hardly noticed that Chaltuu existed, and Kivuli was a terrible father. But she wouldn't talk about her past. She never had. It was personal and it was her business and her business only. Some lions went around telling their stories to some that they met. But she wasn't as open as that- she was secretive, solitary.

[Adofo]

Enzi: YOu know, that zebra is still out there. I can bring it for you if you're still hungry.

[Iri]

"I can take care of myself," Chaltuu replied, a bit stiffly.
Why was this lion suddenly offering to help her? And if he was going to attempt to solve her problems, it would be in vain. Nothing could be fixed. The damage had already been done, and no one, no matter how hard they tried, could repair it. Her father treated her like garbage and her mother hardly seemed to acknowledge the fact that she was able to stand upright. Her pride had been terrible to her for her entire life. Cubs stared at her, wondering why her fur was "the colour of blood", wondering if she was a jinx or a hex. And no one else had been much better to her either. So why was it this one lion was being so... kind to her?

[So, who's Enzi's father? Why does he not have one?]

[Adofo]

(He was a rouge. After they mated, he dissapeared)

Enzi: I know you can. I'm just trying to be nice.

[Iri]

[Okay. And sorry for late response, I had to go take a shower, do the dishes, fold laundry, etc. You can chase me with pitchforks now. =D]

Chaltuu nodded slightly. "Well, in that case, I'll have to refuse," she replied, her voice still brusque. If his mother died and he wanted to make her proud, by helping others he was probably making her proud of him. Her own parents never showed her that love- if only they had. But he was still correct about the "hurting inside" subject. She only hoped that he wouldn't attempt to question her about her past or her family. Because at the moment, she had none.

[Can I still have a theory about Enzi's psychic powers?]
