[Open] Threat from the past

Halali's shoulders slumped momentarily as Baka accepted the inevitable and retreated. That had not been the blissful celebration he'd been anticipating spending with his cubs. It was always an unnerving experience to see the sister that had turned on him and abandoned her birthright. Although it had been difficult to come to terms with her betrayal, Halali was usually able to see past their connection and do what needed to be done.

With the threat gone, it was okay for everyone to relax a bit. Halali turned from Baka's departing figure to his family in the cave. "We've got to be careful my love" he said to Bakira. "Baka clearly wants to hurt our babies. I think you should stay in the den where it's safe for a while. I'll go scouting more often from now on, and if I see Baka in the waterlands again, well may the Great Kings watch over her, because she'll need all of their help."

Almasi turned to Rentai as Baka walked past them "Baka came back" she told her as she looked at Baka and let a silent growl escape her muzzle she then looked to Halali "if you want i will help you with scouting the lands your highness" she offered with a friendly smile on her muzzle

Barika nodded to her mate "i think that would be best" she told him as she cuddled her cubs even closer to her almost crushing them "but if i get someone to watch over them can i still go on the hunts, its the only thing that keeps me sane" she told her mate

Vitani followed Baka until she left the waterlands, she knew her daughter and so she knew this was not over, she saw that baka had left and she then turned back and headed back to the den

Mosi was a wanderer, he had been for most of his life, but how he longed for a pride to call his own, as he walked he spotted a lioness walking away from the waterlands, he approched her slowly as he reached her he walked in front of her "why are you leaving such a beautiful place" he asked her

Khan purred and played with his mothers ear as Barika cuddled him and his brother. Khan looked over at his father. He Wanted to go over to him but he decided to stay safe with his mother. Khan Yawned softly then he slowly fell asleep twitching as he slept.

Kopa soon came in the den. "Halali? Where's Baka? I need to talk to her. I think I have something special for her to not envy you." Kopa said as he looked at his son.

Halali felt a twinge of sadness coupled with annoyance. Normally he wouldn't have a clue where his rogue sister spent her time, and it was odd that Kopa would ask.

"She's not in the waterlands dad, I'll tell you that for sure." Halali said spitefully. "Mother's followed her out of our lands, and hopefully she never comes back." Halali flopped down on the ground and wondered how to continue. "She just came for a little 'visit' actually, and threatened our cubs. Between us we managed to chase her off. That's why mother's not here."
