Fathi nodded in understanding. "Losing one's parents is always a bad thing. I was chased away from my pride after a rival lion took it from my father. I havn't seen my mother or sister since then." He padded softly towards her. "My name is Fathi, what is yours little cub?"

[Princess Renee]

Renee lookked to the ground and listened to the lions story "i'm sorry" she looked back up "my name is Renee" she said "where is your father now?"

"Dead. the rival male killed him to take over our pride." Fathi said. "It's a fact of life. Anyways I would have been kicked out sooner or later. He just made it so that I had to leave or be killed. Anyways... What are you doing out here all by yourself? Don't you have a pride?"

[Princess Renee]

"It's a long story" she sighed looking back to pride rock then back to the lion again "none of the other cubs wanna play with me, just because i was an outsider" she looked at the ground "guess it's, once an outsider, allways an outsider"

Fathi was confused. This was different than his pride. He didn't understand the customs. "What do you mean an outsider? What's the difference?"

Vitani was already at Pride Rock. She still couldn't believe what had just happened. How could Zira have survived the fast current? Why did she think I was pretending to join the Pridelanders, and then would go back with her? Vitani thought. This was all mind-boggling. She had to tell Kovu about it, but didn't feel it would be time yet to do so.

[Princess Renee]

Renee sat down "well this lioness was sad because the king of the pridelands killed her love so she had this plan to kill him and take but the outsiders joined the pridelanders and the lioness died, thats what us cubs here anyway" Renee said

"Wait, a lioness tried to take over a pride from a ruling male lion? That's insane. What is wrong with you lions. You don't act normal. A ruling male lion is King, his word is law, and every lion under him bows to him... and they took you in? this is just getting weirder and weirder for me." Fathi replied backing away in confusion.

[Princess Renee]

Renee frowned and folded back her ears "well the pride took me but i dont have a mother of father"

Fathi nodded in sympathy. "I understand. But, who is that monkey you were talking to?"
