[Maleficent]

Taka peered in through the entrance of the den and asked sullenly, "Would you like me to leave?"

Mufasa shook his head. "You can stay if you want, Taka," he said. Ahadi looked at his second son. "Just wait outside, Taka. I will call you when I'm done," he said.

[Maleficent]

Taka sighed loudly and said, "Yes, father," before stepping outside the den and swatting at a bug angrily.

Ahadi began a long discussion with Mufasa about his future that seemed to go on for eternity. It finally ended. "Taka, you can come in now," Ahadi said.

[Maleficent]

Taka sighed. It was about time! He turned and entered the den and sat next to Mufasa, waiting to see if his father even had anything to say to him.

Ahadi ignored Taka. Mufasa looked at his brother. "Taka, if you want, I can talk to you," he said.

[Maleficent]

Taka looked between Ahadi and Mufasa. He felt hurt that Ahadi wouldn't talk to him, but of course he wasn't going to let that show. Turning around, he said coldly, "I don't need to talk to anyone. I'll just be going."

Mufasa followed Taka. "Taka, wait!" he called out.

[Maleficent]

Taka stopped and turned to look at Mufasa. He waited, but was ready to run away at any moment's notice.

Mufasa went over to Taka. "Taka, I'm sorry about this. If it helps, you can stay in the Pridelands forever," he said.
