The New King of the Pridelands (Private Now Amy and Natalie)

Natalie nodded and waited for the right time to pounce. As she waited, the antelope passed. Natalie jumped out and pounced it without letting the antelope go.

Sarafina was going to pounce by instinct as well, but held back, this was Natalie's first kill. Sarabi caught up with the ambushers and made sure the antelope couldn't get away while Natalie was making the final stages of the hunt.
"Bite it's neck and it'll be all over", Sarabi said loudly.

Natalie listened and bit the antelopes neck, till it stopped moving.


Scar still watched from pride rock as he saw that the lionesses wont return empty handed. He gave a little smile, but then walked back inside the den back to his Queen, Zira.

The lionesses cheered and Sarafina patted her on the back when the antelope was dead,
"Well done Natalie, that was great for your first time". Sarabi smiled and sighed in relief, maybe they would all get a little to eat tonight.
"Right then, as Natalie made the kill, she doesn't have to drag it back". Some of the lionesses instantly went to help the former Queen out as the made they're way back.

Natalie had happy smile, seeing that she had done well on her hunt, most time being alone she couldn't hunt very well on her own, only could catch a little gazelle or zebra. Natalie started to follow the lionesses on their way back to pride rock.

A while later, they arrived back. Ignoring the hyena's trying to nip at the carcass, even Scar knew the lionesses came second after him. They dragged it up to the usual place they ate. Sarabi turned round and looked at Natalie,
"Could you go and tell the King the kill has been brought back and it's waiting for him here? I'll tell him you made the kill".

Natalie nodded and went off inside the den where she yet again heard Zazu's singing to Scar. "Your majesty?" Natalie said when she looked at Scar. "What is it now?" Scar got up from laying next to Zira who was snoozing. "The Kill has been brought back and it's waiting for you outside," Natalie replied as she stood straight. Scar was a bit surprised, he thought that the lionesses will fail during their hunt with Natalie herself between them. "Good..." Scar said and went outside and then Natalie went outside back to the lionesses after Scar went outside.

Sarabi saw Scar approaching and the other lionesses retreated behind her, knowing that the King and Queen were always first to eat. Followed by the hunting party. Sarabi stepped forward,
"Natalie made the kill, it was her first time, she did very well, may I ask for her to join the hunting party permanently Scar?".

Scar looked at Natalie and then back at Sarabi, "Yes..." Scar said, and started to eat with his Queen, Zira.

Natalie was happy to hear Scar's answer, but still felt different from them which that made her a bit down on the inside.

After a while, Scar and Zira finished eating leaving some meat as well for the lionesses, and soon they went off back in their den. Natalie didn't felt hungry, she was used to it that she didn't eat anything very much.

All the lionesses began eating. Sarabi stopped and looked at Natalie for a moment,
"Are you ok Natalie? You haven't eaten much, please, do eat". Sarafina was going to say something as well, but Sarabi beat her to it,
"You made the kill, you must have to most, it's only fair".
