Delano jumped to the side as Tempesta charged at him. What she lacked in skill, she made up for in sheer determination. Because of that, Delano couldn't find an opening: she was always facing him, ready to strike again, and if not to strike, she was ready for him to strike back.

For a long time, the two of them circled each other, striking at the best opportunity, neither of them having any real advantage.Delano was starting to get annoyed. He should have taken her down already! This thought became especially prevalent when Tempesta charged at him, he failed to step aside, and she sent him flying. Getting up quickly, he was rather annoyed. Despite not playing it easy for the majority of the fight, she was winning. And she knew it, judging by the smug smile on her face.

This has to end now! Delano thought furiously, and did the exact same thing as Tempesta just did. He charged right at her, and used his heavier weight to send her crashing into the ground. He winced as the breath was knocked out of her, but he didn't stop because of that. Running forwards, Delano pounced on Tempesta and pinned her before she should get up.

Delano stood on top of her, a triumphant grin on his face. "Pinned you!" he told her. "You're good! I wasn't going easy on you just now. You nearly got me." He told her. And before he could stop himself, he leaned down and gave her a quick kiss.

He did not just do that! Delano turned very red and quickly got off Tempest. "Sorry!" he quickly apologized, and ran off into his den. How could he have been so stupid? Kissing her right in front of everyone! This was going to be a bad day...

Tempesta fell to the ground, Delano's large body knocked the wind out of her; hard. She gasped for air as Delano pinned her and her ears flattened back to her cranium tightly;defeat. Her turquoise eyes closed as his words flowed through her ears and she felt his lips on hers. Her eyes snapped open astonished at his next move. When Delano ran she laid there on her back in disbelief, she slowly rolled to her belly. Still trying to catch her breath and now trying to catch herself, she could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She felt her face heat up red, not sure if it was embarrassment or fury for being beaten so easily. She looked up at the King, all she could do was look to him to say something.

Marrone looked to the two and he chuckled softly, scratching the back of his head with his paw. "Well done Tempesta, but Delano is the winner." he said softly with a nod. Marrone's eyes looked to Mheetu, "Your next Mheetu." he said sternly. Turning to Jafar, "Jarfar, go retrieve Delano. Hes your brother maybe you can talk to him." Marrone said sighing slightly.

Mheetu stepped towards Tempesta and offered his paw to help her up, "Here..." he said.

Already annoyed and hurt she lost she smacked Mheetu's paw away, "I can do it myself." she grumbled. She pulled herself to her paws and stepped back towards the trees reclining back. "Let me give you some advice Mheetu, I don't need any help." she snapped.

Mheetu stepped back understanding Tempesta's reasons for being upset, he noticed she always had to prove herself equal. He waited for Jafar to retrieve Delano.

Marrone looked to Tempesta, "You did a wonderful job, your very skilled." he complimented her.

Alma awoke and saw what happened at the end of the fight, she laughed and kept watching wanting to see if anything entertaining would happen.

Vitani was yet again, last one awake. Her eyes seemed to be glued shut, she opened them with the force of her paws. A large yawn rolled out of her mouth and she jumped to her feet. Glancing outside, she noticed the weather. "Oh perfect." She growled, rolling her eyes, missing the Pridelands and it's sunny days, and warm nights. The rain forest had crappy weather and cold nights, the exact opposite of her home. Vitani growled yet again, but loader. Echoing throughout her den. She laughed at the echo, and exited her damp den, and traveled short to the area the lions were fighting. turning her head to look at Morrone, "What's going on?" She yawned, making it obvious she just woke up.

Maximus was stuck in the den too, he hated when his light fur turned dark from the rain. The two scars on his face ached from the dampness of the jungle. "It's no big deal Zuwa," He walked over to his son. "You get more time to spend with your awesome parents!" He laughed, staring into Zuwa's eyes and licking his cheek. "And plus, if you go out there, you'll get sick and you won't be able to play with anyone, because you'll be in bed rest!" Maximus gasped, trying to trick his son into not leaving the den. He outstretched a paw and yanked Zuwa closer to him, hugging the young cub. His head turned to Himili, "Join the hug?" He asked, with a cute smile.

Jafar went to the cave where Delano was. "Delano? Are you all right, my brother?" he began. He then waited for a response.

Delano groaned, but this time he didn't shout at Jafar to leave. Last time he did that, it was a disaster. "How could I have been so stupid?" he asked. "You saw it! I kissed her right in font of everyone!" He groaned again, trying to become invisible. "She probably hates me now as well." he commented.

He looked up at Jafar. "How can I see her again now? How will she react?" he asked. He looked away again. "I was so stupid..." he repeated again.

Jafar came closer to his brother. "Look, do you really love Tempesta?" he asked. "I mean really love her, not just simple infatuation," he added.

Marrone heard Vitani ask him a question and he turned to face her, "Good morning Princess." he said with a smile. "Well the rainy season is perfect conditions for some training, plus I always like to check the abilities of my Pride. It lets me know who I should put where." he said with a grin. "Mheetu is going to fight Delano and Delano just beat out Tempesta. But she almost had him." he said telling her the details. "There are no claws allowed or drawing of blood, its practice but it can get a little physical." he chuckled stepping back to his position by a large rock.

Mheetu's mossy green eyes flickered as he saw Vitani, "Good morning Tani." he said with a smile. He padded over to her and reclined by her side, "I have a few moments while Jafar goes to retrieve Delano. Later today, I'd like you to go on a walk with me we can spend some time away and reminisce a bit." he said with a smile.

Tempesta laid to her belly in the damp grass under the tree, her eyes watching everything. Her stomach hurt her from Delano knocking her down and she kept replaying his last part in her mind. In front of the Pride he does that, he knows he needs permission from the King. She sat quietly and gazed up at the sky a smile on her muzzle, she felt her heart beat speed up.

Delano remembered how he reacted to Mheetu's comments previously, and how it sent him into a rage of denial. But then he also remembered Tempesta's reaction afterwards. "I... I guess. Yes. Yes I do love her." He finally decided. "Makes things that more interesting, doesn't it?" he tried to joke around, but it didn't help him.

He was lost. "What should I do?" he asked Jafar.

Jafar smiled. "It's easy, Delano. All you have to do is tell her how you feel about her. No joking, No exaggeration. Just tell her plainly and simply," he stated.
