[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Shujaa watched Sarafina sleep for a bit before falling asleep himself. In this state, his dreams took wing, and he thought of what was to come in the future. The night passed and the morning sun rose. The pride began to awaken. He looked at Sarafina and waited patiently for her to wake up.

Sarafina's green eyes slowly opened as the sun managed to slip through the cracks in the den, she nuzzeled Shujaa. "Lets go check on Nala.." she said in a warm tone. The lioness pulled herself to her paws and stretched forward, her claws scratched the rocky floor leaving small marks. She yawned flashing her pearly white fangs and made her way farther up the rocky path, she was headed towards the main den. She peeked her head inside to check on Simba and Nala, "Nala...? she whispered.

Nala lifted her head and smiled at her mom, "Im Okay, thanks to Rafiki." she said. Nala stood up and padded over towards Sarafina and nuzzeled her, "Thanks for helping me, you and dad." she added. She stepped outside and let the rising sun hit her soft furry body and she smiled, it was good to be home.

Sarafina looked back at Shujaa and then back to Nala, "Nala, Shujaa and I have decided were going to have another cub." she said with a warm smile. She licked Nala's cheek cleaning her, "Your going to be a big sister!"

"Yes. Nala, I want you to be the best big sister you can be. Also, remember that this doesn't mean we love you any less. As your mother said, you'll always be our little princess," Shujaa said. He then nuzzled her to show her that he meant it.

Nala's mouth dropped open at the words and she looked from Sarafina to Shujaa, "Well...thats great mom." she said softly and accepted Shujaa's nuzzle. Nala reclined back between her parents and nodded her head, "What brought on this quick decision?" she asked curiosly.

Sarafina looked to Nala and smirked, "We missed chasing after a cub, youve grown up so fast. Soon to be married to Simba and take your place as queen. Another little cub would be a joy to have in our lives." she answered. Sarafina noticed Nala wasn't as excited as she thought she would be but she shook it off. "Change is good Nala...remember that." she said softly nuzzeling her daughter.

Simba had heard Sarafina. He then looked at Nala. "Hey, at least we'll have another thing in common," he told her.

Nala's blue eyes looked at Simba curiously, "Simba, What do you mean? Atleast we have one thing in common..?" she said stepping towards him. The lioness nuzzeled Simba's small mane and she reclined beside, "Well congradulations mother, I hope this make you two happy." she said in a soft tone.


Sarafina winked at Simba, "See I'm not the only one thinking ahead." she said with a chuckle. Sarafina looked to Shujaa and nodded her head towards Simba and Nala, "Lets leave them alone Shujaa, lets go get some lunch." she said stepping down the rocky path.

"I just mean that we'll both have siblings now," Simba replied, returning Nala's nuzzle. It reminded him of just how much he loved her. Now, he couldn't wait to grow up just a bit more so that he could marry her.

Shujaa followed Sarafina. When he had caught up with her, he looked her in the eyes. "Well, I think she took it rather well," he stated.

Mufasa walked to Simba with a sad look on his face. "Simba, follow me please." He paused. "Nala go find Vitani, she's going through something very hard now." He said to the two adolescents with a straight face.

Simba stood up to follow his father. "What is it, Father?" he asked, wondering what could be going on at the moment.

"It's about Vitani." He answered, looking at his paws. Trying to words what he was about to say.
