"Maybe it would," Chaltuu replied gruffly.

[Adofo]

Hamadou: ........I just..........
He couldn't say anything else. He slowly stood up, walked a few steps forward, sat down and let his head droop to the ground.

[Iri]

"What is your problem?" Chaltuu growled.

[Adofo]

Hamadou: ................I just..........want you to be happy.........not this thing your father turned you into..........I always hoped that.....even after all your father did to you..........it wouldn't change you............that he wouldn't turn you into something he wanted too all along. ............The last thing I ever wanted to have happen to you......was for him to break you...........I wanted to believe so hard........that he couldn't win..........but he did.............that monster won! ........I should have stood up for you a long time ago and just let him kill me! ......Maybe then.........you could have been able to beat him.
He said through tears

[Iri]

"Stop being dramatic," Chaltuu snapped impatiently. "First of all, it was me he threatened to kill, not you, so don't try to twist the story around. Oh, and thanks for calling me a thing," she added sarcastically. "I really appreciate it, Hamadou."

[Adofo]

Hamadou: That's what I'm talking about! You nit-pick at everything to make yourself seem bad! HE did that to you! HE made you hate yourself! HE is the one that made you so disconnected from others! That's what I hate! You didn't choose to be like this! He MADE you be like this!

[Iri]

"And how are you going to change that?" Chaltuu shouted angrily at him. "You're not suddenly going to be able to reverse the damage done with 'true love' because that's not how it works!"

[Adofo]

Hamadou: I don't know! But why can't you see that I only want to help you because I love you!? Why does everything I do or say sound stupid or exaggerated just because I want you to be better than how he made you into!? What's so wrong about wanting to help your soulmate be better than what her monster of a father, changed her into!?
He shouted

[Iri]

"I was never changed into anything!" Chaltuu practically screamed at him. "I don't know what you're going to do to try to 'make me better than what I am', because it's not going to work! You can't reverse the damage, if there even is any! Maybe it's because I don't want your help! I'm fine on my own!"

[Adofo]

Hamadou took a long pause
Hamadou: ..........I'm sorry.......I just......I hate how he's treated you your whole life! Ever since he started treating you so horribly I've wanted to kill him myself! You don't deserve anything he's ever done to you! If it wasn't for him.....I know you would been a very sweet and caring lioness. .....But he crushed you! He hurt you so bad that..................I'm sorry, Chaltuu! I'm sorry!
He said with his eyes filled with tears
