A Private RP for Labatis

[Iri]

"She's my sister," Kapuki said through a mouthful of fur. "I'm trying to find someone to nurse her." She tried to act as calm as possible, and make sure she didn't sound as if she was trying to hint to the lioness that she needed someone to provide milk for her baby sister.

[Labatis]

She thought for a couple moments, feeling a tiny bit of sympathy towards the cub. Though, if she was its sister, what about the mother? Can't she help nurse? Perhaps their mother had passed. "Well, I wish you luck." The lioness did not want to seem like she was sending them off, she did regret saying this though, for she wasn't sure how to nurse correctly. This was her first litter, and she wasn't confident she'd be so helpful. "...Maybe I can be of help?" She asked. Her pride wasn't far off, and if she couldn't nurse, of course one of the lionesses of her pride would be more than happy to help the cub.

[No, no, it's fine.]

"You can?" Kapuki asked. If the lioness asked about her mother, she'd lie and say that... That their mother died shortly after giving birth to Shujaa. That was it. She wasn't about to make sure that this lioness was serious or ask questions. Shujaa needed help as soon as possible, and if some stranger pride that they didn't know was able to give the cub that help, Kapuki didn't care what kind of pride it was.

[Labatis]

"Yes. My.. pride is not so far off from here. I can bring you there, but you'll have to show yourselves as harmless. We can be a bit overprotective, so just try and seem neutral." With that, she turned herself around, to head back. Her original plan was to leave it temporarily so she could find a fine shelter to give birth, but she wasn't going to have them any time soon, so she might as well stay a little longer to help the suffering cub.

Angus was uncomfortable with going into yet another pride he didn't know, but with a pride member leading them in, it shouldn't be much a bother. He followed close behind them, wondering if he's been to the territory before. She had mentioned that they were overprotective, so he could've been chased off from it.

[Iri]

"Sounds great," Kapuki said, her voice still muffled. She glanced affectionately at her weak, hungry sister. "I love you, Shujaa," she whispered softly, "you'll be okay." She wondered what she'd say if the lioness asked where her mother was. Despite usually trying her best to be honest and tell the truth, she'd have to lie and tell the lioness that their mother died shortly after Shujaa's birth, or something like that...

[Labatis]

[Physic time here I go!]

When they were nearly there, the lioness stopped, and looked over her shoulder. She saw how the creamer one was desperate for someone to care for the poor cub so called, Shujaa. "..W-where's your mother, anyway? Shouldn't she be caring for her instead of you and a couple others running around for someone else?"

Angus was a bit offended by this. They had been looking for a long time, and she still thought the mother was capable of caring for the cub? Taking a deep breath, he decided to move onto something else. He had finally realized the name of the cub, which was Shujaa, and he thought it fit her.

"She died a while after my sister was born," Kapuki lied. Though, she was rather smooth at lying, which was sometimes something she wasn't so proud of. She glanced back and saw Angus' slightly offended-looking face, and she also felt insulted. She wasn't stupid enough as to run around with a cub if there was a mother who was perfectly capable of nursing her sister.

[Labatis]

"Ah-ha.. well, sorry to hear about that." She said blankly, continuing the way to the pride. She could already see a couple members off the border, and she could easily convince them that the lions behind her needed to enter. She got their attention by rustling the leaves, just like others would.

"Oh! Greetings, Toboraa, I thought you were leaving for the season." One of the males spoke, trotting down to her. The other one, slightly darker than the first, came over to the 3 lions behind her.
"Who are they?" He said with a growl.

"I came back because on my way, I found them, and if you are smart enough, you'll see there is a suffering cub in that one's mouth. I would have helped, but I haven't had cubs before, so I need one of the lionesses to care for her. They can leave if they want, but let them stay if that's what they desire." She clearly didn't want any distractions from helping the cub, and she had to look for a shelter sooner or later.

Chaltuu resisted the urge to growl back, but she could't afford a fight. Not now, not in the current circumstances. Besides, Kapuki would probably try to rip her head off anyways.
Kapuki dipped her head. "We don't wish any harm upon you or your pride," she said after she set Shujaa down gently. Her baby sister squirmed and cooed, as a little one would. "If we wouldn't be burdens to you or your pride, we'd appreciate some help- my sister needs to be fed." She tried to sound as polite as possible.

[Labatis]

The male grunted, and moved to the side to show they could enter. Though he kept an eye on them, for he hadn't trusted them. He had to believe what Taboraa said was true, and she'd be exiled if she brought danger to his pride.

Toboraa rolled her eyes, and trotted into the territory. Some lionesses were sleeping, and some were even brushing passed her. She didn't give any of them attention, only looked for a specific lioness- Tawnu. She was an old friend, and was on her third litter. "This way." She spoke with a tail flick.
