And so, the journey to Agrabah began. Finally, after crossing the desert for a long period of time, the domes of the massive palace could be seen on the horizon. "There we are, Kovu. Our kingdom," he said proudly as the domes got closer. He looked at Kovu again. "I can't wait for Vitani to get back," he said.

Kovu, who dozzed off and was leaning his head down on Simba's lap, shot up and looked around. "hugh, were home?" He asked, yawning as he rubbed his eyes.

Simba smiled proudly. "Yes, Kovu, there's the city gates," he said as they got closer to entering. By now, the cheering of the citizens could be heard. The elephant passed through the gate and they headed for the steps of the palace. Simba was awaiting the moment that Mufasa would announce his marriage to Nala.

Later Mufasa and Sarabi, along with Kovu, Simba and Nala were in the "Royal booth" on top of the gates. Mufasa had already explained Scar and Zira's betrayal and Vitani's true parantage.

" And now your Prince Simba had married Princess Nala, daughter of Sultana Sarafina." The sultan said as the crowd cheered loudly. Then Sarabi ushered Kovu forward. " And In addition to that wonderful news, I give your newest Prince, Prince Kovu!" Mufasa decreed as the crowd fell silent. Kovu gulped until one citizen started claping, then another and another. Soon everyone was claping and cheering, Kovu teared up as he whiped his tears out of his eyes.

Simba looked down at Kovu. "It's official, Kovu. We're brothers," he stated.

Kovu looked up at Simba and tackled him in a hugg. " You've always been like a brother to me Simba, I just wish Vitani, Genie and carpet were here to see this." He said

Meanwhile in the crowds was a lone lion cub, Kiara Kovu's friend. She was angery Kovu forgot her. Back in the day, she and Kovu were quite the Team. 'I get you back Kovu, no matter what it takes.' She thought as she walked away, back to her home.

Simba accepted Kovu's hug. "Don't worry about them, Kovu. Genie's excited to be free after 10,000 years, and Vitani needs time to clear her head after what she's been through. They'll be back soon," he said.

She smiled waving at the crowds below as her marriage was announced and Kovu being a prince.

"Congratulations Kovu. You'll make a fine Prince. And I know Vitani, Genie, and Carpet would say the same if they were here." said Nala.

She paused turning to Simba.

"Are you parents waiting for Vitani to return to annouce she's the lost princess?" asked Nala.

Simba nodded and held Nala close. "Yes. It wouldn't be fair for him to announce it without her present," he said. He then kissed her. "Welcome to Agrabah, beautiful," he said.

"Eww." Kovu said as he looked away. Sarabi chuckled. the young cub would learn in time that kissing wasn't as gross as he thought. Mufasa smiled as he watched his family. "Kovu, some day you will find a wife to love." He said as Kovu made a disgusted face. Mufasa laughed as the family proceeded into the palace to settle back in.
