OOC: Ok, here's the pivotal moment.

Simba finally got to Scar. From the red-maned lion's words, Scar figured out that he was dealing with the now-grown Simba, he revealed the truth of Mufasa's death. This caused Simba to fight even more ferociously. When Simba finally cornered him, Scar did the first thing he could think of: try to save his own skin. "It's Zira and the hyenas who are the real enemy. It was their fault-it was their idea!" Scar stated, unaware that Zira, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed were on the ledge directly above him and could hear every word he said.

OOC: Ok, I'll just move it along so there's a direct comment from Scar for Zira to reply to.

Shenzi, Banzai and Ed moved away with Zira in fury at Scar's betrayal. Meanwhile, the fight between Simba and Scar continued to rage until, finally, Simba used a move similar to Nala's fighting tactics and threw Scar over the side of Pride Rock. The murderer fell, the heat from the flames that had been caused by lightning striking a dead tree, going through his fur and touching his skin. Finally, he hit the hard ground. He got to his feet. As he did so, he saw the hyenas come through the flames. "Ah, my friends," he said. Scar then saw Zira with them and smiled. "And Zira, my dearly beloved queen," he told her, just barely noticing the furious expression on her face.

Zira merely stared at him. Scar...the lion she had once admired so. He meant nothing to her now. Nothing.
"I am not your queen anymore." she growled, baring her teeth.

OOC: Nah, you came in at just the right time.

"But Zira..." Scar began as the hyenas began to move forward and surround him. "Zira, I gave you want you wanted..." he continued as the hyenas jumped on him and began tearing him apart. "Zira, help!" he shouted.

Nala heard the fight was over and saw Simba climb down from the rocks. She approached Simba, "Is he gone?" she asked.

Simba looked his love in the eyes. "Yes, my love. He's gone," he told her.

Zira stared at the corpse for a few seconds before turning her head away. She wanted to forget about all this now.

Nala beamed with happiness, she nuzzled Simba and then looked over at Rafiki, "Simba, I think it's time".

Simba and nuzzled Nala back. "Yes, it is time. But before that happens, I need to ask you something: Will you stay at my stay at my side as my mate and queen?" he said to her.

Nala was overjoyed, "Of course I would Simba, of course!" she said happily.
