Delano chased after Tempesta as she quite literally took off in front of them. He had to admire her tracking skills. If he were tracking, he would have been moving at a slow crawling pace. In fact, he was so busy chasing her, he didn't really get to see where sher was going. When she stopped, he nearly ran into her, and Mheetu nearly into him.

He saw what made her stop. Sure enough, it was Jafar, his brother. "Jafar!" Delano shouted joyfully. He ran over and tackled his brother as a greeting. "It's been such a long time! You... you've grown. A lot." Delano observed. His brother was much bigger than when Delano had last seen him. Jafar also had a mane now, unlike last time, when it was only beginning to grow.

Mheetu still din't get a reply for his question, Delano realized. He got off Jafar and turned to Mheetu. "Mheetu, this is Jafar. He's my brother." He said.

Jafar chuckled. "It's good to see you again, Delano. You haven't changed a bit. So, what's new in the pride?" he asked. Since he had been gone, much had surely happened. He was very interested in what had transpired.

Tempesta smiled as Delano tackled Jafar, it made her think of Dyanna and what she'll look like all grown up. "Jafar you have grown up. Look you don't have fluff anymore its all mane." she teased. Tempesta looked to Delano,Jafar and Mheetu, "We must go tell the King and the Pride." she said with a smile. She stepped towards the bushes and looked to Jafar, "What will Addana say? I wonder." she said over her shoulder. She bounded off into the jungle her paws moving quick, "Last one to the Pride has to run laps in the rain!" she called out already on her way.

Mheetu realized he was going to be left behind and quickly followed after Tempesta. "I don't want to do laps.." he grumbled. His heavy body barely managed to squeeze through the trees and under the fallen logs, unlike Tempesta. "Now I know why your all so long and thin." he added pulling his torso through a tight tree space.

Tempesta beat the boys to the Pride and she slid in the dirt all the way infront of Marrone, laughing the whole time. She stopped when she realized the face Marrone had, "Uhh..King.."


"Tempesta...?" Marrone said staring at her. He then heard commotion in the jungle behind her his grey eyes narrowing slightly. "Whos here?" he questioned standing to his paws slowly.

Jafar stepped forward and bowed. "Your majesty, it is I, Jafar. I have returned," he said. He wondered what the king would do next.

Delano followed his brother as they all ran back to the denning area. They stopped when they came to Marrone. The king didn't look to pleased about something. Delano hoped that it wasn't about Jafar. Her really didn't want to have to say goodbye to Jafar the same day as they meet in a long time...

Marrone pulled Jafar in for a hug and quickly stepped back, "Welcome home. But I'm sorry you have to see this." Marrone said sternly. He leaped ontop of a rock and his grey eyes stared down at his Pride. "This is becoming hard to understand, we are a Pride. Pride's act as one? Dont we? So why is it we are having problems? I announced that I will be crowning Nyembe at the end of the rainy season, but certain things have been brought to my attention. I will address them here...today." he growled loudly. He paused a moment and looked to Nyembe, Addana and Alma, "Its my deepest concern that If I crown Nyembe my 2nd born will be chased from my Pride?" he said stepping down from his rock. He stepped over to Nyembe and his grey eyes stared at him, "Nyembe you may be King but Addana has a birth right too and she is welcomed to these lands. My Father didn't claim these lands so we could be a Pride that caused trouble and banned our members." he growled loudly once more. "We are a thriving strong Pride, we are the Nero we survive in some of the harshest conditions, yet we ban our family. I will not have it and aslong as my blood runs through the veins of any of my family members, it will not happen. Our Pride wont be known for the shameful doings of their King! I'll say that right now, the Pridelanders have their respect. Were is ours? We are a family, we are all one. Tempesta, Himili, Maximus, Delano, Mheetu, Vitani, Jafar, Alam, Addana, Nyembe, Zuwa and I. My family has worked hard trying to gain respect and pull together so we could be a Pride remembered throughout the lands, please let us not destroy each other before we reach that. I love you all.." he finished. He sat back to his haunches, "The rainy season is upon us and I will NOT crown anyone if I feel like their is treachery upon us." he snapped and stepped away into his den in anger. He sat down and inhaled deeply shaking his head, this is not what his father would approve of.

Tempesta stepped back beside Delano and her eyes met his, "What in the world is going on..." she whispered softly. She looked to Jafar and Nyembe and Addana, there was a quiet stillness about the air it made her shiver.

Mheetu laid to his belly under a tree and just listened to Marrone's words, he was very upset. His mossy green eyes looked for Vitani, he hadn't seen her all day.

Alma's jaw dropped, "Um I'm gonna go talk to King Marrone." She started walking then looked over her shoulder,"Oh and Jafar welcome back." She trotted into the den and nuzzled up next to Marrone, "Where did that come from?" Alma said looking into Marrones blue grey eyes, "What made you think of such a thing, Nyembe is Addana's brother she will not be thrown out of our pride. Marrone what happened?"

Delano looked into Tempesta's confused eyes. He couldn't answer her. He was just as confused as she was. "I don't know. Did one of them do something while we were away? I don't know, Tempesta. I hope it's nothing." He whispered over to her. He watched Marrone walk away, and felt a certain relief. After the king's speech, Delano felt a bit afraid of their king. But then again, kings sometimes have to get tough.

Weather:
The lighting cracked the sky and rattled the earth and the silence brought down the rain, it softly began to pour. The first drops of water falling, then followed by millions more."


Mheetu's mossy green eyes narrowed up at the sky as the rain fell through the tree's thick canopy upon the Pride. He stood to his paws and stepped past Delano and Tempesta towards the rocky caves. He noticed branches had been moved from a large pathway and stepped into the quiet area, it was large and spread wide. He noted it as a gathering area or a place where they all slept, he laid to the stone floor and grumbled; he hated rain. He rolled his eyes and rested his cranium on his crossed paws and watched the other through the opening.

Tempesta's muzzle lifted at the crack and she felt the rain hit her pelt, a small shiver went through her spine. Thoughts streamed through her mind and she shook her head, "I'm not sure but something upset him." she whispered softly. She looked to Jafar, "Welcome home." She reclined to her haunches feeling the first wave of rain wash down on them and she looked up at Delano, a smiled crossed her muzzle. Her turquoise eyes scanned over his wet fur and she never noticed how toned and defined he really was. She froze a moment and looked away embarrassed, well he was; their Champion fighter.

Marrone's grey eyes flickered as Alma followed him into the den, "There is so much going on Alma, I'm just worried. I hear everything...this whole jungle, they are my ears." he said not wanting to tell anyone what bothered Addana. "Our daughter is special Alma, shes my little Princess and I just don't want Nyembe thinking owning the crown means getting rid of anyone else whos next in line for it. You know..?" he said rested his head in her neck. He sighed heavily and laid to the stone ground, "I was just in time for the rain...I could smell it." he admitted.

"Thank you, Tempesta," Jafar said. He then turned to Delano. "So, what's happened while I was gone?" he asked. He was truly curious as to how everything had changed.
