The new danger in the land

Nuru unsheathed his claws and got ready to fight.
Nuru: ....Stay behind me guys.

One of the hyenas burst into laughter. "Oh, that's just adorable!" he taunted. This foolish cub wasn't even half his size. The thing about hyenas, though, was that they liked to toy with their prey before they killed. "What're you gonna do, exactly, little hairball?"

Nuru: Not going to let you hurt my brother or my cousin!

The hyena continued to laugh. "It's such a shame you're too much of a weakling to do anything about it... But since you're such a loud mouth, I think I'll make you watch as we tear them to shreds first..." Mufasa meanwhile was so frightened he couldn't even quiver in fear. He was completely frozen.

[Adofo]

Nuru ran up to the hyena and clawed him across the face for saying that
Nuru: RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hyena growled angrilly as he and the others gave chase. The cubs had some sort of a head start but the hyenas were faster and they eventually caught up. The 'leader' of the group personally pinned Nuru down and kept him from moving. "Start with his brother." he said, his voice a furious growl. "And do it slowly..."

[Adofo]

Nuru: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
He bit the hyenas paw and stood defensively in front of his brother and cousin.
Nuru: YOU'RE NOT HURTING EITHER ONE OF THEM! NOT EVEN OVER MY DEAD BODY!!!!!!

The leading hyena seemed to have lost his parience entirely. "That can be arranged!" he pounced at the small cub, and was just about to collide with him when a loud roar was heard and the hyena was suddenly tackled aside by a white blur. However, the white lion didn't actually attack them and simply growled as the hyenas ran away while whimpering.

Nuru: Who.....who are you?!

Lin looked down at the three little ones with a somewhat apathetic expression. The two males looked just about old enough to be the cubs of that lioness he'd found passed out in the Outlands (the pale cub definitely looked a lot like her). "Didn't your parents ever teach you to stay away from places like this?" he asked.
"W-we didn't mean it!" said Mufasa defensively. He still looked very much terrified. "We ended up here by accident by rolling inside that log over there, honest!" He'd never seen a lion with such an appearance before and couldn't help but feel slightly awed.
The white lion looked at the log for brief moment and then back at the cubs. "Come on, I'll show you the way out."
