[Stormy]

Nicki wakes from her nap with a light yawn. “Oh hey.” She says, noticing her sister near her.

[TheLastLion]

"Hey," Kaylee said casually.

[Stormy]

A thought popped into Nicki’s head. “I asked about mom, but did dad question where I was earlier?”

(So Kaylee didn’t rat Nicki out?)

[TheLastLion]

(No, she did not.)

"He did." Kaylee replied.

[Stormy]

“And..?” Nicki pushed on. “What did you tell him?”

[TheLastLion]

"I told him that you went to play in the snow and stayed within earshot of me." She answered.

[Stormy]

“I knew I could count on you.” She says nuzzling her sister.

[TheLastLion]

"Any time." Kaylee leaned as Nicki nuzzled her, "I would, however, warn you that the more we keep this up, the harder it's going to get."

[Stormy]

"I know." Nicki replies. "But it's not like I have to keep this secret forever." They walked over to where they normally had dinner.

"So... bad news." Saige started. "Hunting didn't go so well for anyone in the pride today. You two are going to have to share tonight." She says to Kaylee and Nicki. "Looks like the herds are moving a little further from the pride nowadays."

"Oh..." Kaylee said somewhat casually.
