Kovu decided to wait. After a short silence he decided to ask his siblings something.
"Why did we stay in the outlands? Why couldn't we just go and find a better home to live in?"

Jata slowly stirred but kept quiet, and unmoving as she heard other voices than kovus

"I dont know? Why did we" Nuka asked his brother and sister

"What's so special about this place that mother just doesn't want to let go of it? Look at this valley for example, we could have lived here, or even go to a different land." Kovu said as if ashamed of himself.
"There's no way I'm going back to the desert." He fell silent again.
"Why was our pride exiled anyway?" He asked his older brother.

Nuka growled, "After scar died, there was a time of false peace, Mother and some of the lionesses planned on how to avenge scar, In the meantime Simba and the queen" he said both names with disgust "Had a son, after some time, when he had grown and been presented as Kopa, a fight broke out, Mother leading it, and killing Kopa" he laughed slightly "Thats how we were exiled, the death of one single cub" he growled looking at the lioness on the ground

Hearing the growl, Jata quivered slightly, ever so slightly noticeable

"That's good to hear that our mother doesn't care about where will her cubs grow at." He said quietly, not noticing Jata's slight movement.
"Did she really kill him? Is this how she gets even?" He said his voice growing angry. "That's cowardish, she killed an innocent cub. I bet she then started denying and saying that she didn't kill him. I can't believe this." He said looking at the horizon.
"Well, she can't turn back on what she did. The king's son is dead and probably the only way this will end will be one big blood shed. I wish I could just back away from all the facts."

(( I know =p I think I'll add this to one of Kovu's sentences after Vitani or Nuka say that they don't think that Zira is lying. ))

"She can't, but i was only a cub, and Simba was evil, always nasty towards me" he said angrily

"He's not evil. He's being protective over his daughter and with good reason. I could hope that mother isn't lying. But the chances that it's true are up to zero. Neither one of the sides is going to let go."
He then turned his look towards Jata who was still on the floor. "You should go. This is too much for one day, and I got a long walk back to Pride Rock." He said while picking up Jata onto his back.

"Yes Brother" Nuka spat out as he turned and walked away "Vitani are you coming?" he called back

Jata felt herslef being picked up and she remained limp, once she smelled it was kovu and the otheres were out of ears shot she spoke "Kovu..."
(( leaving you in suspense whistle, tommorrow, you'll know what she is going to say"

"Yes I am," she responded. Her and Nuka walked in silence for a while when suddenly Vitani spoke up again, "you know what Nuka, report back to mother, I'm going to follow Kovu to make sure he stays on track." With that she turned around and headed back in the direction of Kovu, staying back far enough so he couldn't see her.
