Ahadi and Uru's Story (Private, KK44 and FlamingBee)

She swallowed. "The... the Prince?" She shook her head; "It won't work, I heard their bird talking yesterday. They're gathering princesses so he may choose a mate." She tried to keep her voice emotionless.

Choyo brushed it off. "And what if he rejects them all? There is still hope," he stated.

[FlamingBee]

She sighed; "Are you prepared to wait for years then? They're only allowing one princess each month till he chooses."

Choyo nodded. "I'm prepared to take as long as I need to. No one said replacing a king was easy," he stated.

[FlamingBee]

"True. But surely you wish to be alive when taking over?" She smiled deviously; "Sooner rather than later would be my thinking.."

Choyo smiled. "That's what I like to hear, Uru. Now, I suggest you go and start befriending the prince. Make him think you've fallen for his charms," he instructed.

[FlamingBee]

She nodded; "Of course..." she slunk off into the bushes, and settled where she had been the previous day. Then she finally thought; she needed warn Ahadi of her father's plan. But he wouldn't come find her again, she'd forbidden him to. She would have to take a trip to Pride Rock; without being seen. She sighed. The things she did to be a good lioness really were mad sometimes - she would approach from the rear of Pride Rock where no one would see her. At least, she hoped.

At Pride Rock, Ahadi was resting on his favorite sunning rock. He was irritated. He was not looking forward to meeting the princesses at all.

Uru crouched in wait; she had decided to wait for Queen Harufu to take the lionesses for the hunt, then pray that Mohatu wasn't with Ahadi as she snuck up Pride Rock the back way.

Ahadi continued to rest. Around him, the denizens of the Pridelands went about their routines: elephants ate, crocodiles lounged on the bank, zebras and wildebeests grazed and so on.
