"We just walked around and didn't hit any particular area," Nyembe replied. He hoped that his mother accepted the answer. "Are you all right, Mom?" he added.

"Yes why do you ask?" Alma replied to Nyembe.

"I don't know. I just feel like it I guess," Nyembe answered. The image of Vitani would not leave his mind. "One way or another, she will be mine," he said to himself.

Alma laughed, "Yes son she will, besides she is betrothed to you."

"But according to what I've heard her say, in the Pridelands, it is ultimately up to the princess whether the prince becomes her mate or not," Nyembe said. Now he was truly starting to worry. What if she didn't select him?

Nyembe's face took on a cocky grin. "Yes, I'm sure she will. After all, I'm just as good as any other prince," he said. He was fantasizing about his possible future with Vitani.

Alma said with a frown on her face of disappointment
